(1) Students are instructed to create 5 blind contour portrait drawings of their peers and select the 2 most successful drawings based on including as much detail as possible through closed shapes and filling the page. (2) Students will watch a demonstration on watercolor and inking techniques. (3) As practice, students should create at least 10 tints of one color, 10 tones of one color, and 10 shades. (4) Students will apply their knowledge of tints, tones, and shades to color their blind contour portraits, with one portrait using tints and shades of one color and the other using tones of two complementary colors.
