Dr Seung-Woon Rha graduated from the medical school of Korea University. He has finished internship
and residency of internal medicine at Korea University Hospital. After the clinical fellowship training in
general cardiology and cardiovascular intervention at Korea University Hospital, he moved to
Washington Hospital Center, Washington DC for further research study from 2003 to 2004. From 2004,
he is working as a Professor at Cardiovascular Center in Department of Internal Medicine, Korea
University Guro Hospital. He is currently the Director of Cardiovascular Center, Cardiac Catheterization
Laboratory and Div. of Cardiovascular Intervention and Research Institute (CIRI) in Korea University Guro
Hospital (www.ciri.or.kr).
He is a famous expert in cardiovascular intervention, particularly complex coronary and peripheral
intervention including CTOs. He is operating regular CCI (Complex Cardiovascular Intervention) training
program and annual Guro Live at his institute. Furthermore, he is operating ‘international research
fellowship course’ for international interventionists.
