The Chambers Group Biological Services staff has extensive experience conducting biological assessments, surveys, and technical reports to support projects while minimizing impacts and mitigation costs. They provide services for sensitive species and work with agencies on compliance for a variety of project types across both urban and rural environments in California. The biological staff holds permits to work with sensitive species and includes qualified botanists conducting plant surveys according to guidelines.

My presentation on Superweek 2013 conference. http://superweek.hu/
First, I introduce social media monitoring solutions in general, then focus on Replise technology. Finally, you can see a snapshot on the possibilities of Replise's social media monitoring and analyzing system via the Apple - Samsung trial case-study during the summer of 2012 in Hungarian social media space. The perception of the competing brands were different if we compare journalists to the social media users.

OECD Global Forum on the Environment dedicated to Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Su...OECD Environment
PFAS, which stands for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are a diverse group of chemicals that include PFCAs, PFOA, PFSAs, PFHxS, and thousands of others. These chemicals have been in commercial production since the 1950s and are now widely used in consumer and industrial applications. One characteristic of PFAS is their persistence in the environment, as they are extremely resistant to degradation. PFAS have emerged as contaminants of global concern because of their potential to accumulate in the human body and food chains.
On 12-13 February 2024, a wide range of stakeholders, including governments, industry, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and academics came together to discuss various topics related to PFAS. These topics covered areas such as country risk management approaches, innovation challenges for finding safer alternatives, effective risk communication strategies, monitoring techniques, waste management, and approaches to managing contamination.
CaBA Startup Conference 02 - A response to the challenge from the third sectorCaBASupport
Sets the context for the Catchment based Approach, describing the decline in ecosystem functionality and the challenge that still faces the UK in achieving improvements under the Water Framework Directive. Outlines the roles of the new CaBA Partnerships, the National Steering group, and the EA in helping to shape the next round of River Basin Managment Plans, and also in achieving improvements that go beyond WFD.

Biological Services
1. Biological Services
Chambers Group Biological Services staff possesses a tremendous
depth of experience in terrestrial/aquatic wildlife and plant ecology
that is mobilized to conduct biological assessments, habitat evaluations
and presence/absence surveys for sensitive plant and wildlife
resources. The staff regularly consults with regulatory agencies under
the federal and state Endangered Species Acts and provides biological
technical reports in support of EIR/EIS documents in compliance with CEQA/NEPA. Chambers
Group biologists also assist clients with the design and implementation of mitigation bank
programs and natural resource management plans.
The Biological staff has won awards for its responsiveness and its goal is to add value to
every project. The staff likes to work closely with the client project team, engineers, and
designers to identify opportunities to minimize project impacts and, therefore, mitigation
costs. This interaction includes creative contingencies to avoid cost overruns while keeping
the project on schedule.
Project experience includes work in both urban and rural environments in coastal areas,
wetlands, rivers, streambeds, flood plains, deserts, reservoirs, parks, and landfills in support of
projects such as long distance fiber optic cable installations, additional railroad lines, new
transmission lines, solar energy sites, sediment removal projects, bridges, pipelines, and
transportation improvements.
Chambers Group offers services and capabilities in all phases of
biological sciences and its multidisciplinary teams address each
client’s unique needs and each resource’s distinct significance.
The Biological staff holds specific USFWS and/or CDFG specie
permits and qualifications to work with sensitive species such as:
• Desert Tortoise
• Palm springs pocket mouse
• Least Bell’s Vireo
• Southwestern Willow flycatcher
• Coastal California gnatcatcher
• Western burrowing owl
• Western snowy plover
• California least tern
• San Joaquin kit fox
• Flat tailed horned lizard
• Blunt nosed leopard lizard
• Arroyo Toad
• California red legged frog
2. • Mountain yellow legged frog
• Quino checkerspot butterfly
• Mojave ground squirrel
• Delhi Sands Flower Loving Fly
• San Bernardino kangaroo rat
• Stephens’ kangaroo rat
• Pacific pocket mouse
• Los Angeles pocket mouse
• Fish
• Fairy shrimp
• Santa Ana sucker
• Bats
The Biological staff also includes highly qualified botanists with experience in conducting
numerous focused plant surveys in accordance with the CNPS Botanical Survey Guidelines for
threatened and endangered plants.
Studies are conducted using progressive techniques in data collection and analysis in compliance
with state and federal regulations. Chambers Group’s biologists are excellent at responding on
short notice to handle projects.
Project Examples:
Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Works – AWARD FOR PARTNERING
EXCELLENCE (General Contractors of America) - San Gabriel River
Sediment Management Project; performed water quality and biological
monitoring compliance; key issues were sensitive vegetation, fish, birds,
reptiles, macroinvertebrates, amphibians, and relocation of the endangered
Santa Ana sucker.
San Diego Gas & Electric -- Biological surveys and reporting, compliance monitoring,
environmental awareness training, and biological and cultural monitoring support for the Sunrise
Powerlink Project
Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts -- Responsible for coordination with District project
managers, contractors, regulatory agencies and oversight for CEQA compliance, biological
surveys, mitigation monitoring involving numerous sites located within the districts 800 square
mile service area.
County of Orange Integrated Waste Management Department – Provided Coastal California
Gnatcatcher, Least Bell’s Vireo, and Willow Flycatcher surveys, and a Cowbird trapping
program at the Prima Deshecha Landfill.
