Biodiversity refers to the variety of living organisms found within terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. It can be protected by establishing protected spaces for ecosystems. In Spain, the lynx population is endangered due to a lack of European rabbits as a food source, as well as rabbit traps set by humans. Other threatened species mentioned include the giant tortoise, affected by climate change and egg consumption, and the snow leopard, endangered by hunting, habitat loss, and poor nutrition in the high Asian mountains where it lives. Videos are provided with additional information on biodiversity and endangered species.
