Verbs like "study", "graduate", and "have a degree" should be used when referring to a person's educational background and achievements. Chronological order is key when recounting someone's life story in a biography. Descriptive adverbs provide more interesting details than simply saying something was "very" good or bad. Having grown up in the south and more specifically in Memphis, TN, Blues music is a cultural staple of the south. Blues was invented by slaves, ex-slaves and the descendants of slaves, African-American sharecroppers who sang as they worked tireless hours in the cotton fields. Now, having the added benefit of living in Memphis I was exposed to the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley whose musical influences ranged from many black gospel singers and bluegrass musicians.
Growing up I didn’t truly understand Elvis and his music. To me during this time he was just another Rock and Roll star who died of a drug overdose. But as I got older I realized the influence that not only did the black music artists, both past and present have on his music but he was a complete artist who could gravitate to all genres, especially when it came to blues or soulful music, because for a white guy, Elvis was the bomb.
All that said, while Elvis was greatly influenced by many artists some of his biggest hits were written and originally performed by black artists who never got the recognition or credit for these songs. If I were to ask who sang Hound Dog, most would say Elvis when in fact it was Big Momma Thornton (see clip below) or Lawdy Miss Clawdy who was originally performed by Lloyd Price.

Elvis Presley was born in 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi and became known as the King of Rock and Roll. He was influenced by African American music and had a unique performing style. In the 1950s and 1960s, Presley made many hit records and movies that made him famous around the world. However, later in life he struggled with health issues and drug abuse and died in 1977 at his Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 42.
Rock and roll was created in the late 1940s and early 1950s by combining elements of blues, country, rhythm and blues, jazz, boogie-woogie and folk music. It featured instruments like electric guitars, pianos, and saxophones and was popular among teenagers, though controversial. The genre influenced many other styles of music and dance in subsequent decades.

The document discusses the author's passion for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and analyzes why fans continue to watch the sport even though they know it is scripted. It explains that WWE gains an advantage over real sports through its pre-booked storylines and diversity of characters, which capture fans' attention similarly to TV shows and movies. While the matches are not real competitions, WWE's proficiency in booking rivalries, returns, and unpredictable scenarios keeps wrestling fans committed to tune in each week to follow the ongoing stories.

It's a matter of time.
It's a matter of time, before I go back there
A matter of time, before I go home
I have been away from her now for a long time
And I've lived a life I thought that it should be
It's a long, long way from now to maybe
sometime
And the waiting 'round is really killing me
It's a matter of time, before I go back there
A matter of time oh Lord, before I go home
It's a long way I know, and the going ain’t easy
She'll see me again, it's just a matter of time
I think I'll take a train right early in the
morning
Just to see how far I get along the way
But the trains don't run too often only
sometimes
So I guess I'd better wait another day
It's a matter of time, before I go back there
A matter of time oh Lord, before I go home
It's a long way I know, and the going ain't easy
She'll see me again, it's just a matter of time
She'll see me I know, It's just a matter of time
3. Biography
Elvis Aaron Presley was born to Vernon
and Gladys Presley in a two-room house in
Tupelo, Mississippi, on January 8, 1935. His
twin brother, Jessie Garon, was stillborn,
leaving Elvis to grow up as an only child.
He and his parents moved to Memphis,
Tennessee, in 1948, and Elvis graduated
from Humes High School there in 1953.
Elvis’ musical influences were the pop and
country music of the time, the gospel
music he heard in church and at the all-
night gospel sings he frequently attended,
and the black R&B he absorbed on historic
Beale Street as a Memphis teenager.
In 1954, Elvis began his singing career with
the legendary Sun Records label in
Memphis. In late 1955, his recording
contract was sold to RCA Victor. By 1956,
he was an international sensation. With a
sound and style that uniquely combined his
diverse musical influences and blurred and
challenged the social and racial barriers of
the time, he ushered in a whole new era of
American music and popular culture.
His talent, good looks, sensuality, charisma, and
good humor endeared him to millions, as did the
humility and human kindness he demonstrated
throughout his life. Known the world over by his
first name, he is regarded as one of the most
important figures of twentieth century popular
culture. Elvis died at his Memphis home,
Graceland, on August 16, 1977.
He starred in 33 successful films, made
history with his television appearances and
specials, and knew great acclaim through his
many, often record-breaking, live concert
performances on tour and in Las Vegas.
Globally, he has sold over one billion records,
more than any other artist. His American sales
have earned him gold, platinum or multi-
platinum awards. Among his many awards and
accolades were 14 Grammy nominations (3
wins) from the National Academy of Recording
Arts & Sciences, the Grammy Lifetime
Achievement Award which he received at age
36, and his being named One of the Ten
Outstanding Young Men of the Nation for 1970
by the United States Jaycees. Without any of
the special privileges, his celebrity status
might have afforded him, he honorably served
his country in the U.S. Army.
