According to a report on CBS News, Belly Fat is linked to risk of Migraines.  You could suffer from migraines! Research found that waist measurement was a good predictor of migraine activity both in men and women up until age 55.  Earlier research had already linked obesity with an increase in the amount of migraines people get.
Obesity is the key player in the development of type 2 Diabetes.  How many people do you know suffering with this widespread disease already?  This could be your parting gift! It is estimated that more than 2 million Canadians have diabetes.  Strong evidence exists that weight loss produced by lifestyle modification can reduce blood glucose levels in patients with Diabetes, allowing them to have a chance against this disease.
