This document outlines a study on developing a bibliotherapy collection and programming for teenagers in Irish public libraries. Interviews were conducted with librarians and teenagers to understand criteria for building the collection, training needs, and how to appeal to teens. Findings showed that librarians lack knowledge of teen issues but are open to training. Teens prefer fun, informal book covers and peer recommendations over librarian picks. Recommendations include collaborative collection development with teens, varied book displays, and optional bibliotherapy training for librarians.
