2. Hiob
• Hiob został przedstawiony jako człowiek bogobojny,
sprawiedliwy i wierny członek rodziny. Aby sprawdzić
jego wiarę, Bóg poddaje go próbie - umierają dzieci Hioba,
traci majątek, choruje na trąd, ale mimo to pozostaje
wierny swemu Bogu. Przeżywa osobisty dramat i musi
walczyć o swoją godność - przyjaciele mówią mu, by
przyjął cierpienie jako karę za grzechy. Hiob okazuje się
pokorny - dzięki temu Bóg wynagrodził go, i zwrócił
straty z nawiązką. Najważniejszą cechą Hioba okazała się
wytrwałość w wierze i ufność Bogu.

4. Abraham
• Abraham również został wypróbowany przez Boga.
Rozkazał On, by Abraham złożył w ofierze swojego
jedynego syna - Izaaka. Narąbał drzewa do spalenia ofiary
i wyruszył w drogę.

7. Syn Marnotrawny
• Człowiek, który zawiódł swoich najbliższych - roztrwonił
swoją część majątku, oddanego mu przez ojca. Zrozumiał
swój grzech, wrócił do rodziny prosząc o przebaczenie.
Przypowieść biblijna "O synu marnotrawnym" ukazuje, iż
Bóg cieszy się z każdego nawróconego wiernego, choćby
zgrzeszył on wcześniej i odszedł od wiary, lecz powrócił.
• Utracił on wcześniej swą łaskę i godność, złamał
przymierze miłości. Mimo wszystko uznał swoją
grzeszność, i dostąpił ojcowskiego aktu miłosierdzia.

9. Miłosierny Samarytanin
• Pewien człowiek został napadnięty i ograbiony.
Przechodzący ludzie byli nieczuli na jego nieszczęście i w
żaden sposób nie próbowali mu pomóc. Pomógł mu
Samarytanin, dzieląc się z nim majątkiem i pielęgnując go.
Po przybyciu do gospody zapłacił gospodarzowi za to, by
się rannym człowiekiem opiekował - a gdyby wydał
więcej, to miłosierny Samarytanin odda mu pieniądze w
drodze powrotnej.
• Samarytanin jest wcieleniem bezinteresownej dobroci i
miłości do drugiego człowieka.
12. Salomon
• Salomon jest według Biblii synem Dawida. To bardzo
często przytaczana postać dobrego i sprawiedliwego
władcy. Jego najbardziej znanym czynem jest rozwiązanie
sporu dwóch kobiet o to, do której należy dziecko. Mądry
Salomon rzekł, by przeciąć dziecko na pół - wtedy jedna z
kobiet powiedziała by tego nie robić - czym udowodniła
to, że dziecko należy do niej.
• Król Salomon stanowi archetyp człowieka niebywale
rozsądnego i sprawiedliwego.
