2. Introduction
• A dedicated Senior Pastor at Cross Church Northwest
Arkansas, Dr. Ronnie Floyd is also serves as the general
editor of LifeWay’s Bible Studies for Life (BSL)
curriculum series, which is used by more than
150,000 small groups nationwide.
•
With group Bible study programs for everyone from
children and older students to adults, BSL is a product
of LifeWay Christian Resources. Composed of resources
to promote lifelong biblical discipleship, BSL helps
groups engage the world through a missionary
perspective and establish a biblical community, on a
foundation of reliable content.
3. Bible Studies for Life
• Additionally, BSL offers an international discipleship plan for all age
groups. BSL for children touches on three different areas in each session.
The first area teaches them about honoring God in their everyday
lives. The second area promotes biblical memorization and learning from
birth up to middle school. The third area connects children to the concept
and practice of discipleship.
The BSL program for students covers similar but more expansive ground,
with a greater emphasis on cultural action and personal reflection. The
BSL program for adults builds on concepts introduced in the student
program, although completion of the student program is not required to
use the adult program. It encourages building a biblical community by
addressing the issues group members face every day. BSL leaders and
group members may access as a free resource the
Leader Extras blog, which offers additional discussion themes, sermon
topics, and conversation prompts for each group session.
