2. Psalms 71:4-5
Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the
wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel
man.
For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust
from my youth.

3. Psalms 130:5-7
wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his
word do I hope.
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that
watch for the morning: I say, more than they that
watch for the morning.
Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there
is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

4. 1 Thessalonians 5:8
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on
the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet,
the hope of salvation.

O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall

And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope;

thy rest in safety.

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not
consumed, because his compassions fail not.

faithfulness.

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly

Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and
our shield.

trusted in his holy name.
Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we

I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten

disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet
praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and
my God.

Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which
thou hast caused me to hope.
This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in
those that hope in his mercy.

20. Romans 5:5
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of
God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us.

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is
not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet
hope for?
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with
patience wait for it

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall
exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are
cut off, thou shalt see it.

37. Psalms 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto
me, and heard my cry.
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of
the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and
established my goings.
And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even
praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and
shall trust in the LORD.

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it:
and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy
saints.

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh

hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that
seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of
Israel.

But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an
acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy
mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good:

heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye
seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for
him that waiteth for him.
