Pleafor Legal and Reserve Fund
As you write a check for your annual dues, we ask that you please be generous with your
donations to the legal and reserve fund. These funds have allowed us to take legal action
against several violators for the last 50 years! Even though our attorneys have been generous
with their time and fees, it is very expensive to fight these cases in court. We need to maintain
and enhance the legal and reserve fund at all times to enforce the Rickert Finlay Covenant. Our
covenant has been our only protection against these violators. Our elected officials are
currently proposing legislation to compel city agencies to enforce restrictive covenants, but until
then, IT IS UP TO US! As you know, the Association has been successful with EVERY lawsuit,
including the decision that was upheld in the Appellate Court in 2013. Only an ENFORCEABLE
covenant, allows the Association to take private legal action to stop violators. Please support
the legal and reserve fund so our neighborhood will remain the desirable community it has
always been, and allow the covenant to remain enforceable for generations to come.
