5. Game Scenario
The story begins with all the Queen’s jewels being stolen from the palace.
After a brief story introduction the child will get to chose an orange or a blue
dragon.
Level 1: The Forbidden Forest.
● Must find 1 of 5 jewels. One week.
Level 2: Dragon Hollows
● Must find 2 of 6 Jewels. Two weeks.
Level 3: Mystic Meadows
● Must find 3 of 6 jewels. Two Weeks.

6. Game Outline
● Each time a treasure is found, the child will have to
complete a small task (ex. 10 jumping jacks) to
capture the jewel.
● The level will end with a story piece.
● Encouraged to find all treasures not just the
required.
● If they complete all the tasks in a level they will get a
bonus: ex. Healthy recipe, voucher for snack/drink.

7. How to play
● Play as Dashing Dragon & rescue the Queen’s stolen jewels
● Pick which dragon you want to be
● Use map on the app to locate treasures in parks around town (Paper maps will also be
available local library and there will be signs in the parks)
● Use camera on the app to see the treasure “in real life”
● Tap on treasure to reveal activity (15 jumping jacks, game of tag, swing for 10 minutes,
etc.)
● Do activity and tap “complete” to collect jewels
● Find all treasures on a level to receive new activity, healthy recipe or voucher for snack
and juice
● OR find minimum required treasures per level to move on to next level
● For school challenge: students will be awarded 100 points for completing each level.
School with most points at end of summer wins the prize.

● To make the game Dashing Dragons into gamification, continue to add more locations to a
general map for children and their families to play whenever. Get rid of prizes altogether for
the gamification version, and replace with interesting facts about the area or surrounding
nature, and more fun activities to do.
● Add a feature to the BetterPointsTM app that allows users to set minute goals to reach for the
week
● Add a feature that allows users to challenge friends, family and coworkers to reach a set
amount of minutes walked, ran or biked in a week
