Twynham School implemented a learning platform using Microsoft SharePoint to encourage student participation and responsibility for learning. Students were involved in the design and provided feedback. The platform includes a student homepage, revision resources, and ways for students to track their progress. It also includes a parent gateway to facilitate parental engagement, which research shows improves student achievement. The platform integrates with the school's student information system and allows remote access to applications to benefit the entire school community.

Online learning Students at Twynham School have had access to a learning platform since 2003 using Microsoft SharePoint The arrival of SharePoint 2007 has allowed us to add a rich range of functionality which encourages students at Twynham to be active participants in the school community and take responsibility for their learning In a short space of time we have managed to gain very high user adoption by students, then staff and finally parents.

6. The Student Gateway The Student Gateway homepage is the hub of student life at the school. It contains the central information for all students including their timetable, notices and access to e-mail.
