This study evaluated 34 women ages 40-65 who attended a women's midlife assessment clinic. The goal was to comprehensively assess their health risks, symptoms, and behaviors. Previously undiagnosed health conditions were identified in 25 of 34 participants (74%), including melanoma, cardiomegaly, hypertension, and pre-diabetes. Only one participant did not have risk factors for heart disease. Depression symptoms were common, with 20 women reporting symptoms and 7 having a new diagnosis. The multidisciplinary clinic improved identification of health conditions and provided an opportunity for preventative education and intervention.
