The Bermuda Triangle is a region where a number of aircraft and vessels have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. It is located in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, between Bermuda, Florida and Puerto Rico. Some of the more famous disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle include Flight 19, a group of US bombers that vanished in 1945, and the Mary Celeste, a ship found abandoned in 1872 with no signs of its crew. While some theories speculate that compass malfunctions, bad weather or marine creatures may be responsible, the true cause of the many disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle remains unknown.
