This document reviews 22 studies on the use of social media in pharmacy practice and education. The majority of studies examined how pharmacists, educators, and students used social media personally, with Facebook being the most commonly studied platform. While social media was used in some pharmacy courses, most professionals were unwilling to use it for work purposes. The review found social media has been adopted into pharmacy education in various ways but no studies addressed delivering pharmacy services through social media.
