the world cup Russia
2018 on the change in
subscription percentage
in BEIN sports channels.
Introduction:
BEIN Sports is a group of sports
channels based in Qatar, serving
the Middle East and North Africa
(MENA) region. It is owned by
BEIN Media Group,
a subsidiary of Al-Jazeera
Media Network.
The channels primary broadcast
in Arabic, but it also offers feeds
in English, French, and Spanish.
Introduction:
-Formerly it was re-named BEIN
Sports in 2013 to unify it with
Al-Jazeera group of sports
networks in the lead-up to the
2014 FIFA World Cup.
- The network acquired MENA
rights to the Premier League. On
2017, the IOC announced a
partnership with BEIN Sports to
launch a local linear version of
Olympic Channel for MENA on
November 2017

the 21st FIFA World Cup, a
quadrennial international football
tournament contested by the
men's national teams of the
member associations of FIFA.

By analyzing the previous Data we found that:
- 87% of males are interested in sports.
- 28% of females are interested in sports.
- 75% of participant are watching football.
- Average watching time is 3 hours/week.
- Almost age has subscription is from 25- 34 years.
- Almost age below 35 years are watching
on smart devices.
Discussion:
By analyzing the previous Data we found that:
- Almost age above 45 years are watching on TV.
- 30% of Participants are watching other open
channels in foreign satellites.
- 81% 0f participants found BEIN subscription
is expensive.
- The presence of the Egyptian team in the world
cup 2018 will make 69% of participant follow the
event but only 12% will buy BEIN subscription.

From the previous data we found
that, the presence of the Egyptian
team in the Russia world cup 2018
will affect greatly on the watching
percentage but on the other hand
it will not affect greatly on the
BEIN Subscription percentage
Because:
Conclusion:
1- The high cost of the
subscription especially for
new customers.
2- High percentage of viewers is
watching matches using free
online smart devices.
3- High percentage of viewers
prefers to watch matches on café.
