 Ideals of beauty of Ancient Greece
and Rome were embodied in the
    most famous sculptures. The love
and beauty goddess (Venus – in
Rome and Aphrodite – in Greece) still
is considered a standard – from it
    well-known "formula" 90-60-90 went.
 In Ancient Greek mythology
    Aphrodite was described so: "Quietly
    there is among wild animals
Aphrodite proud of the radiant beauty.
Her companion Aura and Harita, the
beauty goddess to grace, serve it.
    They dress the goddess in
    magnificent clothes, golden hair
brush it, crown her head with a
    sparkling diadem.
 Agnessa Sorel, the lady to de Botha, a
favourite of France of Charles VII, was
considered as one of the most beautiful
women in the XV century. To Agnessa
attribute introduction of such innovations as
carrying diamonds by uncrowned persons, the
invention of a long loop, wearing very free
    dresses opening one breast.
 The Neoclassicism period in the
middle of the XVIII century marked
resetting to old Greek ideals. The
beauty of the XVIII century — the
woman full and large. Portliness and
    completeness are considered as a
beauty ideal, and artists of the XVIII
    century in portraits purposely round
    ladies' forms. Baroque appreciated
splendor, and the burden of a
    dimensional farthingale and heavy
brocade could be laid only to a strong
body. To the accepted ideals of
    beauty there corresponded also the
relation to appetite: women of the
XVIII century ate much, at all it
    without being confused.
 Women actively wear corsets to
support a breast and to improve a
figure. As a whole, the mode of
    the XIX century gravitated to
    artificiality. All natural, natural
    seemed rough, primitive. The
    healthy flush and suntan, strong,
strong body were signs of a low
    origin. Women should have
    considered "wasp waists", pale
    faces, delicacy and refinement.
In the XX century of idea of female beauty
changed radically: first, corsets disappeared,
but together with it the figure became
fashionable harmonious by nature.
Nevertheless, if at the dress beginning of the
century conceal a figure more and more, to
its middle femininity gets the best. Ideal
beauty on advantage was considered
Marilyn Monroe.
