Two motorcyclists from South Devon, Nigel Martin, 58, and Edwin Brandon, 74, were killed in a head-on collision between their motorcycles on the A39 near Lynmouth in North Devon. The next day, officers were called to woods near Cilfrew after another male was found dead. Police said the two deaths are not linked and they are investigating the incident in Baglan. Meanwhile, American football player Joshua Hughes proposed to his girlfriend Claire Elworthy in a unique way - he had his teammates wear jerseys spelling out "Will you marry me?" after their season-ending win. Claire said yes and the couple are planning a wedding next year.

Ida, a 90-year-old woman, found social interaction and connection through programs at Barclay Manor after moving to Vancouver from Kelowna to be closer to her daughter following her husband's death. Barclay Manor, owned by Vancouver Parks and leased to the West End Seniors Network, hosts various social and educational programs for people over 55 to combat isolation. The programming attracts hundreds of seniors and keeps them socially engaged. Evelyn, 86, volunteers at a thrift store operated by the West End Seniors Network in addition to her other activities. Both women appreciate the human interaction and community found through West End Seniors Network.
