Bats live in caves, houses, and trees across most of the world except near the poles. They have 1 to 4 babies per mother bat and eat a variety of foods including fruit, meat, or both. While their lifespan is 10 to 14 years, many bat species are endangered with declining populations that must compete for fewer caves.
