2. What is a Bartlett Ambassador?
• Interact with built environment professionals, industry and prospective
students
• Provide information on Bartlett programmes and ‘The Bartlett
experience’
• Communicate with local alumni on their experiences within The Bartlett
and encourage Bartlett alumni networks
• Generate new opportunities for students and staff to collaborate with
international companies, universities and academics
• Encourage Bartlett alumni networks
3. What might you do as an Ambassador?
• Seek out relevant organisations and inform them about The Bartlett
• Liaise with The Bartlett to keep abreast of current work
• Communicate your experiences within The Bartlett
• Contribute to The Bartlett Student Experience blog
• Form and manage new alumni networks
• Attend relevant conferences related to your discipline
• Attend the annual Bartlett Ambassador London conference
4. What do you get in return?
• Training in a range of useful skills
• UCL Bartlett branded business cards
• A fixed sum from UCL towards a recognised CPD course
• A conference about Bartlett Ambassador achievements
– Flights and one night’s accommodation for the conference paid for by UCL
• Option for re-election OR Presentation with a certificate detailing your
achievements
• The certificates will be recognised by common employers
• Outstanding contributions will be rewarded with a fixed sum from UCL
towards a year’s membership to a relevant professional society
5. What are we looking for?
• A postgraduate/PhD due to graduate this year from The Bartlett
• A genuine interest in communicating about The Bartlett
• Ability to communicate effectively to people of all ages and
backgrounds
• Good time management skills so that you can be an active
Ambassador alongside your job and personal commitments
• Ability to use your own initiative in a range of situations
• Have a range of ideas of how to bring the message of The Bartlett to
various stakeholders

• You must complete an application to be a part of
this scheme
• Details will be posted on The Bartlett Student Blog
