Baron Coburg gave two peasants, Ivan and Frederick, plots of land, supplies, and oxen to farm for a season. At the end of the season, Ivan produced 223 bushels of wheat but owed money and had a broken plow, while Frederick produced 105 bushels but was fully equipped. Although Ivan had more initial assets, Frederick was more productive and efficient. Based on their performances, Baron Coburg should choose Frederick to farm his land the following season.
