                                The Balearic Islands has a total
                                          of 151 islands
                                   Only five of the Islands are
                                             inhabited
                                    (Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza,
                                    Formentera and Cabrera)
The highest point of the Balearic Islands is the Puig Major on
 Mallorca, with an altitude of 1432 metres above sea level.

The red and yellow colours reflect that there an association.

The field is the same as the flag of Aragon, which the islands

belonged to in medieval days. The canton (upper left) is the

    emblem of Palma de Majorca, the island's capital city.
Food
                                  Cheese has been produced
                                 since early times in Menorca.
                                 Every town in Menorca has a
                                    cheese making industry.


Throughout Menorca, you will find a great selection of fish and
                           shell fish,
  With sardines, sole, red mullet, squid, prawns, lobster and
                           mussels.


                 They also like sweet pastries
