Introduction
Drinking, smoking, cursing, spending frivolously, out of control eating habits, gossiping, gambling, and the
list goes on. All of us have bad habits whether we’d like to admit it or not and truthfully speaking, none of
these are better or worse o than the other. e rst key to moving forward and breaking these strongholds
is to admit that there’s a problem. at sounds simple, but o en it is not. Denial loves to stick its ugly head in
the way and make us think that we are indulging but yet in moderation. ere’s no such thing! Admit there’s
an issue, pray and ask God to intervene and be obedient to His instruction. e only habit we should leave
this challenge with is making it a matter of importance in ensuring that we stay away from the things that will
harm us both physically and spiritually.

Challenge
Go through old bank statements/receipts and nd old alcohol bottles in the house from the past year. Take
what you spent in alcohol and get it in coins (change). Color the biggest alcohol bottle you can nd with mark-
ers or any decorations of your choice and put the change in it starting a fund that you two agree on. Continue
to ll it with all loose change. is activity can be adjusted to address whatever bad habit you or your spouse
may have.
