Summary
This analysis has taught me that not all film openings require a high amount
of visuals or intense scenes to be effective in garnering the audience's
attention. An effective opening can still be simple in structure but can still
provide strong meaning to the film as well as hooking the audience in.
From this opening I will take into consideration of using many close-up shots
to provide depth and detail. I will also consider using more objects as visual
representation like the clocks in the Back to the Future opening to provide
meaning and hints for the audience. This will in sense be easier for me to
film rather than people whilst also giving an audience an equal feel for the
film at the start.
