2. Project plan
• For my project I plan on making a short fictional film about 5 boys
ages 16-18 from the city of Sunderland. My short film will take place
between a 15 hour time period of a weekend in 2022. My short film
will show themes such as bullying, violence, knife crime friendship
and betrayal as-well as the culture of young people in the north east

3. How do you think your ideas are relevant to
the project
• I think that my ideas are relevant to the brief and the project my short
film will portray the culture of teenagers in Sunderland which will be
relatable for the target audience.
• It will also show real issues that are a problem in Sunderland this will
help to educate the audience

4. Issues I might face and how I will overcome
them
• One of the issues I may face is the camera not being stable in one of
the scenes near the begging of the short film which is a chase scene. I
would like some shots in this scene to follow the actor as he runs.
However this could result in shaky, unpleasant to watch footage

5. Filming locations
• I plan to film my short film in Ryhope and Hollycarrside this is because
I know the area well and many place will work well for my short film.
It will be east to film here as I know what places are going to be busy
and what place to avoid.

6. Equipment and resources
• I will need a camera that can record 1080p to make sure all of my
footage is of good quality
• A tripod to mount the camera on this will make sure all of my footage
is stable and not shaky
• An SD to store the footage on the SD card must have enough storage
on for all of the clips
• Fake blood that is edible
• Plain white t-shirt so that fake blood is visible
• Fake prop knife
• Masks for characters 3,4 and 5

7. Codes and conventions
• One thing I feel like you would expect to see in a film about knife
crime is a darker set or dimmer lighting to create a more depressing
and sad mood to the viewer. How ever I am going to use warm
colours and bright lights to create a more memorable situation
• Another would be the music I am going to have a range of different
types of music
