LOAD PLAN ANALYSIS SUMMARY It takes ~1 mil net sqft of RO/RO space to properly stow the MPF(F) rolling stock regardless of ship design Option 1 (Distributed Capabilities) and Options 2 & 5 (Family of Ships) are the only mixes that support the 8-10 hour timeline for offload of the MPF(F). All proposed ship designs hold ~25% to 50% of container requirement. From an Embarkation perspective, the Distributed Capabilities ships are more flexible for Assignment to Shipping and allows more force loading options

5.1.3 RECAP Given the assumptions, methodology, guidance and criteria, eight 5.1.3 ships and one utility/cargo ship would support the embarkation, deployment, arrival & assembly, but not the employment of the MPF(F) EDL and personnel by surface even when combined with ESG assets. Delta of 1576 TEU’s requiring storage on the utility/cargo ship 5.1.3 was abandoned by NAVSEA. Aft material handling area was found to be ineffective during skin to skin replenishment simulations. Moving cargo handling to amidships forces the hangar out of the deck house and into the hull below the flight deck. No Aircraft Elevator made a below hangar deck unworkable.

LOAD PLAN ANALYSISSUMMARY It takes ~1 mil net sqft of RO/RO space to properly stow the MPF(F) rolling stock regardless of ship design Option 1 (Distributed Capabilities) and Options 2 & 5 (Family of Ships) are the only mixes that support the 8-10 hour timeline for offload of the MPF(F). All proposed ship designs hold ~25% to 50% of container requirement. From an Embarkation perspective, the Distributed Capabilities ships are more flexible for Assignment to Shipping and allows more force loading options

5.1.3 RECAP Giventhe assumptions, methodology, guidance and criteria, eight 5.1.3 ships and one utility/cargo ship would support the embarkation, deployment, arrival & assembly, but not the employment of the MPF(F) EDL and personnel by surface even when combined with ESG assets.
