ACC 307 Final Project Part I Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
The production and analysis of financial statements are core tasks for accounting professionals. The activities for this final project have traditionally been

their investment and lending decisions.
In your final project, you will assume the role of an accountant and complete the year-end adjustment process for your company using a provided workbook.
This workbook is the first deliverable (Part I) of your final project. In Part II, you will analyze the provided financials o f the same company and create a report
documenting your findings. The project is divided into three milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and
ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Three, Five, and Six. Final Project Part I will be submitted in Module Seven;
Final Project Part II is due in Module Eight.
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course competencies:

Products on Sale Database for Kahdea Inc.
1. Project Overview
The activities in this project are designed to provide a better understanding of how data is organized into a relational database. A relational database enables management information systems to support inventory, transactions and business intelligence capabilities.
Using Microsoft Access 2016, you will create and manage tables, perform data imports, link tables via relationships, create queries and finally create reports for executive summary.
A general overview of relational database fundamentals and Microsoft Access training via Lynda.com is provided in section 11 to enable your success in this project. Please allow enough time to expose yourself to this material before starting the project.
2. Company Background
Kahdea Inc. is a small startup company that sells sports merchandise online. The mission of the company is to successfully sell and deliver sports products for all. The company sells products for a wide variety of sports including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, and volleyball.
Kahdea is composed of twenty-eight (28) employees who work in different departments (production, operations, automation, accounting, human resources, finance, marketing, etc.). During their probation period, all employees are trained before being assigned into their positions.
Kahdea is planning to have their annual sale next month. This sale is an important event for the company because it can typically generate 31% of Kahdea’s annual revenue. The company has been planning this sale for some time now, and wants to make sure all transactions are supported without issue.
Your specific role in the project
You are a new hire at Kahdea. During your training, you are expected to learn about building and maintaining relational databases using Microsoft Access. The database you will support is being used to keep track of Kah ...
June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

OSP - Manual process replaced by actions within KC, reducing data entry
Submit the Award – no longer has to wait for the nightly batch process to take place
Notice the Asterisk on various fields, these fields must be completed before you can save your document and/or move on to the next tab
Note that Project Start Date and Obligation End Date do not have an asterisk by them. Asterisks denote fields that are required for saving a document, or fields that may be conditionally required under certain conditions. The Project Start and Obligation End Dates are required to finalize the award document.
Note that while CDFA Number is not required by the application to save or finalize the award e-Doc, the Office of Sponsored Programs would like it filled out.
CGA will enter Subawards (if any) and select and apply the Sponsor Template Code
Key Personnel – note that this is where the Lead Unit can be changed, if needed, once the award has been saved.
Project Period could be 1, 2, 3, etc. or a year
The Sponsor Authorization subpanel most likely won’t be used often but could be used if a sponsor agrees to something like $10k preaward spending.
This process allows us to skip the data validations process, and allows the draft document to move on to the Award group for completion
There is a sync to template button at the bottom of the Reports panel. Discuss under what circumstances this button should be used.
Note, clicking the submit button automatically engages Data Validation (so if you forget to run data validation, the system will do it for you.)
What’s entered in KFS now will be sent automatically from KC. There really isn’t an “As Is” equivalent.
Reminder for Trainers: can’t do a budget document unless the Award doc is finalized
Will need to provide class with a sample Award letter
Note: The personnel salary will reflect the total amount of salary for a given object code

No As Is slides as there is no Account Explorer equivalent to Award Hierarchy.
Parent doc must be final before a child can be created.
