Avaya Aura® Communication Manager Greater than 5 Nines AvailabilityAvaya Inc.
A vital component of Avaya Aura® is Communication Manager (AACM), an industry best-in-class redundant server solution that takes into consideration the available uptime today’s businesses demand. This is accomplished by utilizing the high availability standard of nines percentage approach, for AACM the availability is “Greater than 5 Nines” or 99.999%+.
Avaya offers communication solutions that can achieve better than five nines (99.999%) availability for enterprises of all sizes. For midsize enterprises up to 450 endpoints, a single site solution using an S8300 server with S8300 LSP provides over five nines availability. For midsize enterprises up to 2,400 endpoints, an S8800 server with S8800 LSP and clustered gateways provides over five nines availability. Avaya ensures high availability through features like redundant servers and network links, connection-preserving failover, and PSTN fallback capabilities. Avaya's reliable software design and extensive field data allow it to accurately predict system availability.
Network Virtualization using Shortest Path Bridging Motty Ben Atia
SPB is a networking protocol that provides several benefits over traditional networking technologies:
1) It simplifies network design by reducing the core network to a single Ethernet link state protocol that provides virtualization services for bridging, routing, and multicasting.
2) By relying only on end-point provisioning and automatic provisioning through its link state protocol, it allows "build it once and don't touch it" functionality, greatly reducing time to deploy new services.
3) It improves network robustness through sub-second failover times and eliminating spanning tree protocols.

Legislative Developments in the Aviation Sector in 2010Michal
The Polish Aviation Law (in Polish: Prawo Lotnicze; hereafter, PL) of 3 July
2002 was amended only once in 2009. The amendment was introduced by the
Act on the amendment of the Act on the Provision of services on the territory of
the Republic of Poland of 4 March 20101, which entered into force on 10 April
2010. Accordingly, two new provisions were introduced into Polish aviation law:
sub-article 1a was inserted into the existing Article 160 PL and a new Article 160a
was created. Both insertions specify that the Act on the Provision of services on
the territory of the Republic of Poland does not apply to its Aviation Law.

802.11n is a new wireless networking standard that promises to deliver significantly faster speeds than previous standards like 802.11a/b/g. It utilizes two key technologies, MIMO and channel bonding, to achieve this. MIMO uses multiple antennas to reduce interference from multipath signals and allow multiple data streams to be sent simultaneously. Channel bonding combines two 20MHz channels into a single 40MHz channel, effectively doubling the bandwidth. Together, these technologies can increase speeds up to 6 times compared to 802.11a/g. The document discusses various configuration options for 802.11n like the number of spatial streams and guard intervals that impact maximum achievable speeds. It also addresses compatibility with older standards and network

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
