This document discusses how Etsy has grown its use of Nagios for monitoring. It describes how in 2011 Etsy had a Nagios hack week to improve its monitoring and began monitoring more metrics. Over time, the number of servers, services, and pages monitored by Nagios has increased greatly. It also discusses tools like Nagdash that have been created to make monitoring data more accessible and prevent alert fatigue.
