is part of the logistics area.
SD module contains the processes that help a
company integrate with their customers.

These processes include providing quotations
to customers, receiving sales orders via
phone, internet or EDI, shipping the finished
goods, and finally billing the customer for the
goods that they have received.

Functional role:

 A SAP SD Consultant is responsible for
participating in the planning, development,
maintenance, and enhancement of SAP
applications and the functional areas of an
SAP package.
 Occupants of this position are assigned to
project teams and utilize a variety of
client/server platforms.

As a SAP SD Consultant he or she has to define business process requirements, and it
includes areas like sales document management, shipping, pricing, billing, Order
Management and Integrated flows MM & FICO
The role of SAP SD Consultant professionals often includes expertise in other modules,
commonly MM, FI, CO, and BW.

Technical role:

Individuals in this position are competent to perform work at the highest technical level
within this job family. They are familiar with SAP project management, but do not have
project leadership responsibility for SAP module areas.
However, they may regularly coach other team members, or plan work for others to meet
sub-project deadlines.

• Now a days, this module is growing a lot, and the opportunities are also very
good.
• This module is very related and good for MBA professionals in any specialization
but it is related to who did specialization in Marketing , even for others also it is
very good as we can observe in many job portals and other sources.
• Salaries are also very good compare to previous years it is increased 3-4 %
