EMU The Australian emu can’t fly. But instead it can run very, very fast. It can run up to 50 km/h!
KANGAROO The kangaroo is a very friendly animal. They usually live in groups. The mommy kangaroo gives birth to a baby kangaroo which usually stays in the mother’s pouch about 5-11 months. The kangaroo is a pretty fast runner:56 km/h!
KOALA What a cute animal! The koala is absolutely my cup of tea! The koala usually lives in the trees. Actually, it is pretty difficult for a koala to move on the ground! The koala weighs about 6-8 kg!
PLATYPUS What a funny animal with a funny-looking nose! It lives about 10-17 years! It usually lives in ponds and streams.
GREAT WHITE The Great White is a shark. It is the killing king of the Australian animals. It is the most dangerous shark: a real, brutal killer! It usually eats different types of fishes and other sea creatures… sometimes even people!!! Well, just kidding… don’t take it seriously! The Great White can be 9-12 metres long.
WHALE This huge animal is a real beauty. The whale usually arrives to the Australian costal areas in June or July. It loves to jump up and down … and, of course, it wants to splash water!
FISH The Great Barrier Reef is one of the most beautiful places in Australia. Diving there is a dream come true! There are - among other things - very colourful fishes, interesting tortoises, awesome sea horses and beautiful plants.
GOANNA The goanna looks like a smaller version of a crocodile. The goanna spends some time in the trees, eating the leaves.
