Sheila Douglas answers questions about dangerous animals in Australia. The most dangerous snake is the King Brown, which can grow to 3 meters long and is very poisonous. If bitten by a poisonous snake, the important things to do are to not move the bitten area, tie something tight around it, and call for help immediately without washing or sucking the venom. Douglas' favorite animal is the koala, which she describes as cute and not very active, mostly eating and sleeping for two hours a day. If she could be any animal, she would be a Cairns Birdwing butterfly for its beautiful colors and ability to fly high in the rainforest trees.
