This showed me that there is a good
sized audience for music videos out
there still, with 85% of people still
watching them.
Because of this, I found out that the
main audience I should be targeted
towards is 16-20, with 0-15 being
another audience I could focus on.
However, it also shows there is a
wide range throughout the ages and
that many different people will
watch it.
This told me that the main audience is
female, however 10% of the audience is
male and so I could potentially focus on
them but it would make most sense to
focus on females.
The response to this has led me
to conclude that it would be best
to follow a plot or storyline for my
music video as 80% of the
audience said they prefer that.
The results for this are interesting as
nobody said they prefer slow songs, but
most said they like both with others saying
it depends. I should have added another
box where they could have elaborated but
these results have showed me my chosen
song can work.
Despite 95% saying they enjoy live
footage, I’m electing to not use
any due to not having access to
any bands and feeling it would be
out of place in my music video’s
story.
Despite the majority preferring live performance,
again I have chosen not to use it.
Romance/breakup and slow/emotional are second
most preferred which is interesting since nobody
said they preferred that genre of music.
Despite already presuming this, this
has solidified my belief and plan of
making my music video over 3
minutes but under 4
This told me that the audience prefers the
actual band/singer in the music video
instead of actors, however I feel that within
my music video there is more strengths than
weaknesses on using actors over the
band/singer.
Despite some answers which can’t be taken
seriously, the overall answer were songs by the
Script and music that is very similar, which
reflects well with my video’s plan.
