The Reader
• The target audience for my magazine is a 16–25-
year-old who wants to be emotionally engaged.
• My typical reader would be female, with
an interest in celebrity, fashion and lifestyle as
well as real life stories.
• They are independent, with a medium-high
amount of monthly disposable income.
• Many are students or have just entered the
workplace and want to hear stories from
women and girls like them.
• They are engaged in social media and spend
on average an hour a day online.
• Appearance is important to them; they spend
upwards of £1500 a year on clothing and beauty
items.
• They are an aspirational group and, of those
who are working, most fall into the BC1 section
of the NRS social grades.
