This is when Faye opens the letter but the audience never find out whether she gets into dance college or not. The camera angles help to demonstrate this. For example close up on her face to show her expression leave the audience free to interpret it as they wish.<br />Social class – white, middle classed girl who has a dance studio in her house. Her parents can afford for her to college but don’t want to. In most dance films, the protagonist represented is usually under-privileged and the cast is made up from multi-cultural backgrounds. I, however have a white, middle classed girl. I found that this helped our target audience to identify and relate to her as they are the same age and of the same background. This also helped us create a simple representation that would target our audience directly. However, having done his I realise we have ignored a more multi-cultural audience and thus our short film targets a particularly niche audience – the feedback we received from distributing this on YouTube confirmed this as well.<br />Ancillary tasks – the combination of the poster and review helped to draw the audience in.
