This document provides directions for an activity where students spell out their name using chemical symbols from the periodic table. Students must use at least 10 different elements, with 5 coming from the first three rows of the periodic table. For each letter, students write the atomic number, number of protons, electrons, mass number, and neutrons. Students must also draw Lewis dot diagrams for the 5 elements from the first 3 rows. The rough draft is due for approval, and the final creatively depicted version is due on Thursday.
