The document provides an overview of the React Context API, including what it is, when to use it, and how to use it. It explains that the Context API was introduced by React to solve the problem of prop drilling and make state management simpler for developers. It describes the key aspects of using the Context API, such as creating contexts with React.createContext, rendering context providers with Context.Provider, and subscribing to contexts within components using Context.Consumer. Examples and additional resources on the Context API are also provided.
The document summarizes Kiran Abburi's presentation on React. It covers:
1. The agenda includes basics of React, composition, data flow, JSX, React APIs, and building a todo app.
2. React is a JavaScript library for building user interfaces and uses a component-based approach to build encapsulated pieces.
3. Data in React flows in a uni-directional way through properties (props) and state, where props are passed from parent to child components and state is internal to a component.
The document discusses React's virtual DOM and how it allows for more efficient DOM updates compared to directly manipulating the real DOM. It explains that the virtual DOM is an in-memory representation of the real DOM that allows React to calculate efficient DOM changes before applying them to the real DOM. This avoids unnecessary re-renders and improves performance. It also describes how React uses a diff algorithm and DOM traversal with breadth-first search to determine the minimal number of operations needed to transform the virtual DOM before updating the real DOM in a batched way.

Knowledgebases differ from databases in three key ways:
1. Knowledgebases capture human knowledge and place it in a system that can solve complex problems using that knowledge, while databases simply store and organize data.
2. Knowledgebases are dynamic and can learn over time as new knowledge is added, whereas databases do not learn or change based on new information.
3. Knowledgebases can use the stored knowledge to provide answers, recommendations, and expert advice, while databases only retrieve and display stored data in response to queries.

The Retrofit library was created by Square.
MongoDB is a cross-platform document-oriented database system that is classified as a NoSQL database. It avoids the traditional table-based relational database structure in favor of JSON-like documents with dynamic schemas. MongoDB was first developed in 2007 and is now the most popular NoSQL database system. It uses collections rather than tables and documents rather than rows. Documents can contain nested objects and arrays. MongoDB supports querying, indexing, and more. Queries use JSON-like documents and operators to specify search conditions. Documents can be inserted, updated, and deleted using various update operators.
The Context API is a new feature in React 16.3 that allows components to share state globally without having to pass props down through intermediate components. It solves the problem of "prop drilling". The API works by creating a Context object that allows a component to subscribe to changes in a parent component. Any component can consume the Context to access the shared state without being nested inside the parent component. The document provides an overview of how to create Context objects, consume context in child components, update context values, and best practices for using Context including avoiding unnecessary re-renders and keeping code DRY with higher-order components.

GraphQL is a query language for APIs and a runtime for fulfilling those queries. It gives clients the power to ask for exactly what they need, which makes it a great fit for modern web and mobile apps. In this talk, we explain why GraphQL was created, introduce you to the syntax and behavior, and then show how to use it to build powerful APIs for your data. We will also introduce you to AWS AppSync, a GraphQL-powered serverless backend for apps, which you can use to host GraphQL APIs and also add real-time and offline capabilities to your web and mobile apps. You can follow along if you have an AWS account – no GraphQL experience required!

Get Started with ReactJS 18 Development Services_ New Features and Updates.pptxConcetto Labs
React 18 introduces several new features including concurrent rendering, strict mode, transitions, automatic batching, and new suspense features. Concurrent rendering allows React to interrupt, resume, or stop renders. Strict mode improves component reusability. Transitions help prioritize urgent vs non-urgent updates. Automatic batching groups state updates without re-renders. New suspense features like delay transition and placeholder throttle improve performance. Overall, React 18 enhances responsiveness and optimization.

Microservice Teams - How the cloud changes the way we workSven Peters
A lot of technical challenges and complexity come with building a cloud-native and distributed architecture. The way we develop backend software has fundamentally changed in the last ten years. Managing a microservices architecture demands a lot of us to ensure observability and operational resiliency. But did you also change the way you run your development teams?
Sven will talk about Atlassian’s journey from a monolith to a multi-tenanted architecture and how it affected the way the engineering teams work. You will learn how we shifted to service ownership, moved to more autonomous teams (and its challenges), and established platform and enablement teams.

Graspan: A Big Data System for Big Code AnalysisAftab Hussain
We built a disk-based parallel graph system, Graspan, that uses a novel edge-pair centric computation model to compute dynamic transitive closures on very large program graphs.
We implement context-sensitive pointer/alias and dataflow analyses on Graspan. An evaluation of these analyses on large codebases such as Linux shows that their Graspan implementations scale to millions of lines of code and are much simpler than their original implementations.
These analyses were used to augment the existing checkers; these augmented checkers found 132 new NULL pointer bugs and 1308 unnecessary NULL tests in Linux 4.4.0-rc5, PostgreSQL 8.3.9, and Apache httpd 2.2.18.

When it is all about ERP solutions, companies typically meet their needs with common ERP solutions like SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics. These big players have demonstrated that ERP systems can be either simple or highly comprehensive. This remains true today, but there are new factors to consider, including a promising new contender in the market that’s Odoo. This blog compares Odoo ERP with traditional ERP systems and explains why many companies now see Odoo ERP as the best choice.
What are ERP Systems?
An ERP, or Enterprise Resource Planning, system provides your company with valuable information to help you make better decisions and boost your ROI. You should choose an ERP system based on your company’s specific needs. For instance, if you run a manufacturing or retail business, you will need an ERP system that efficiently manages inventory. A consulting firm, on the other hand, would benefit from an ERP system that enhances daily operations. Similarly, eCommerce stores would select an ERP system tailored to their needs.
Because different businesses have different requirements, ERP system functionalities can vary. Among the various ERP systems available, Odoo ERP is considered one of the best in the ERp market with more than 12 million global users today.
Odoo is an open-source ERP system initially designed for small to medium-sized businesses but now suitable for a wide range of companies. Odoo offers a scalable and configurable point-of-sale management solution and allows you to create customised modules for specific industries. Odoo is gaining more popularity because it is built in a way that allows easy customisation, has a user-friendly interface, and is affordable. Here, you will cover the main differences and get to know why Odoo is gaining attention despite the many other ERP systems available in the market.
