Atabey Primary and Secondary School has grown significantly since opening in 2014. It started with a small building and 200 students but has expanded to include a new building completed in 2016 that houses 850 students. The school staff has also increased from 20 teachers and 10 staff to 90 teachers and 25 staff. New facilities have been added such as football, basketball, and volleyball pitches, project clubs, chess and drama classes, a dance room, activity room, indoor sports hall, auditorium, and a pool. The school emphasizes activities like daily English speaking, using a coaching system, and incorporating drama, music, art, and gymnastics into lessons and clubs. Aydın is an important city for Turkish tourism with its counties having a
lot of cultural, historical and touristic places. Besides Kusadası and
Didim which are very active especially in summer and should be seen,
there are a lot of places to see also in Aydın.
Long beaches, five-star hotels and holiday villages.
Kusadası is a big destination center by itself.
Didim is important for its cultural inheritances and summerhouses.
The historical places like the Ephesus, Apollon Tample and Selçuk are
enhancing the area’s fame.
Afrodisias, Akaraka, Alabanda, Alinda, Antiokheia, Dydyma, Magnesia,
Milet, Nysa, Priene, Tralles which are known all over the world.
Aydın is also special for its health resorts.
Gümüşköy, Germencik and İmamköy hot springs are said to be healing
rheumatism, skin and heart problems.
A variety of fruits & vegetables are grown on the fertile lands of Aydin
province, especially figs and olives are world known. The city is also
rich in folklore . "Zeybek" is the traditional play of Aydin and around,
played with the groups of two, four, six or nine.
