An Asthma inhaler is a (usually metered) device holding a medicine
that you take by breathing in (inhaling). Inhalers are the most common
treatment for asthma.
A metered dose inhaler (MDI) is a device that delivers a specific amount
of medicine to the lungs, in the form of a short burst of aerosolized
medicine that is inhaled by the patient. Inhalers are the most
commonly used delivery system for treating asthma, chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other respiratory diseases
There are various types of inhalers available. Some of them are Duolin
inhaler (Generic Combivent), Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Ventolin), Tiova
Inhaler (Generic Spiriva), Beclate Inhaler (Generic Beclovent), Seroflo
Inhaler (Generic Advair HFA) and Foracort Inhaler (Generic Symbicort).

Inhalers used to treat Asthma and

active ingredients.

Aerocort Inhaler

Aerocort Inhaler
Aerocort Inhaler (Generic Beclomethasone Dipropionate and
Levalbuterol Tartrate) is used in the treatment of asthma, once the
need for inhaled corticosteroid and bronchodilator therapy has been
established. This combination of Levosalbutamol and
Beclomethasone Dipropionate is specially provided for those
patients who require regular doses of both drugs for treatment of
their obstructive airways disease (COPD).
Each actuation of Aerocort Inhaler delivers:
Beclomethasone Dipropionate IP -------- 50 mcg
Levalbuterol (Levosalbutamol) Tartrate IP equivalent to
Levalbuterol (Levosalbutamol) --------50 mcg

Asthalin Inhaler

Asthalin Inhaler
Asthalin Inhaler (Generic Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler) is a beta2-
adrenergic agonist indicated for treatment or prevention of
bronchospasm in patients aged 4 years and older with reversible
obstructive airway disease. It is also used for prevention of exercise-
induced bronchospasm in patients aged 4 years and older.
Each actuation of Asthalin Inhaler delivers:
Albuterol Sulfate (Salbutamol Sulphate) IP equivalent to 100 mcg of
Albuterol IP

Beclate Inhaler

Beclate Inhaler
Beclate Inhaler (Generic Beclomethasone Dipropionate Inhaler) is
used in the maintenance treatment of mild, moderate or severe asthma
as prophylactic therapy in adults and pediatric patients 4 years of age
and older.

Duolin Inhaler
Duolin Inhaler (Levalbuterol Tartarate and Ipratropium Bromide Inhaler) is
used for the treatment or prevention of bronchospasm in adults,
adolescents, and children (4 years of age and older) with reversible
obstructive airway diseases like asthma and COPD, including chronic
bronchitis and emphysema.
Each puff of Duolin Inhaler contains:
50 mcg of Levosalbutamol Tartarate
20 mcg of Ipratropium Bromide

Foracort Inhaler

Foracort Inhaler
Foracort Inhaler (Formoterol Fumarate and Budesonide Inhaler) is
used in the regular treatment of asthma, where the use of a
combination (long-acting, beta2-agonist and inhaled corticosteroid)
has been found to be appropriate. Foracort Inhaler is also indicated as
maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with COPD
including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
Each actuation of FORACORT-100 Inhaler contains:
6 mcg of Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate and 100 mcg of Budesonide BP
Each actuation of FORACORT-200 Inhaler contains:
6 mcg of Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate and 200 mcg of Budesonide BP

Tiova Inhaler

Tiova Inhaler
Tiova Inhaler (Tiotropium Bromide Inhaler) is an anticholinergic
used for the long-term, once-daily, maintenance treatment of
bronchospasm associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease (COPD), and for reducing COPD exacerbations. Tiova inhaler
is also used for the long-term, once-daily, maintenance treatment of
asthma in patients 6 years of age and older.
Each actuation of TIOVA Inhaler delivers Tiotropium Bromide
Monohydrate IP equivalent to 9 mcg of Tiotropium

Seroflo Inhaler

Seroflo Inhaler
Seroflo Inhaler (Fluticasone Propionate and Salmeterol Inhaler) is a
combination product containing a corticosteroid and a long-acting
beta2-adrenergic agonist used for the maintenance treatment of asthma
in patients 4 years of age and older. Maintenance treatment of airflow
obstruction and reducing exacerbations in patients with chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This medicine is not indicated
for patients whose asthma can be managed by inhaled corticosteroids
with occasional use of inhaled short-acting beta2-agonists. This
medicine is NOT indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm.

Budecort Inhaler (Generic Budesonide Inhaler) is used for the
maintenance treatment of asthma as prophylactic therapy in adult and
pediatric patients. It is also indicated for patients requiring oral
corticosteroid therapy for asthma. Many of those patients may be able to
reduce or eliminate their requirement for oral corticosteroids over time.

Flohale Inhaler

Flohale Inhaler
Flohale Inhaler (Generic Fluticasone Propionate Inhaler) is indicated
for maintenance treatment in patients with mild to severe, persistent
bronchial asthma. It is also indicated for patients requiring oral
corticosteroid therapy for asthma.
Many of these patients may be able to reduce or eliminate their
requirement for oral corticosteroids over time. Flohale Inhaler is not
indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm.

Storage Instructions
All inhalers for the treatment of asthma and COPD
have to be stored at controlled room temperature i.e.
from 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) with excursions
permitted between 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F).
Keep these as well as all other medicines away from
children and pets.
