2. Key duties/responsibilities for assistant project manager
1. Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and
project meeting minutes.
2. Supervise and direct overall project activities as assigned by the Project Manager
including planning and coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas,
ensuring all company/project policies, procedures and standards are maintained,
etc.
3. Maintain all change order, submittal and document (drawing) control logs. Prepare
required logs ansd other project documentation for construction meetings.
4. Responsible for contract submittals that they are accurate and submitted on time.
5. Responsible for putting together and issuing the Subcontractors contracts.
6. Responsible for the assembly and timely delivery of the Owner and Maintenance
Manuals.
7. Interacts with Subcontractors to make certain that we have obtained the correct
documentation and drawing for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
8. Responsible for keeping the Warranty Log up to date.
9. Represent company/project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc.
10. Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to area of
responsibility.

3. Key job qualifications for assistant project manager
1. Experience working in a comparable commercial Class A (1 million sq ft.)
BOMA building
2. Have completed post-secondary school training in facilities management
and supervision
3. Have an Associate Degree or other post-secondary degree
4. Have a minimum of three consecutive years of experience within the last
five years in directing work similar in scope to that which is contemplated
in the contract including: facilities management, operation, and
maintenance, and custodial for a single building of comparable size, type
and complexity;
5. Ability to provide oversight of security contracts and staff in a facility
comparable to the size and complexity of the building.
6. Ability to plan, organize and meet project deadlines
7. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as
required
8. Demonstrate working knowledge of engineering and building systems
9. Ability to read, review, and understand blueprints
10. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and project tracking
software;
