Warhammer 40k is a tabletop miniatures strategy game set in the grim dark future of the 41st millennium where players collect armies from factions like the Imperium of Man or Chaos and battle each other using rulebooks called Codexes. Players choose an army, buy the corresponding Codex and miniatures, assemble and paint the miniatures, then deploy their forces on terrain-decorated tables to play through movement, shooting, and assault phases over multiple turns with the goal of achieving a pre-determined victory condition.

7. When building an army, players use their codex to design a unique battle force. Once you have a list of units you then go about buying said units from Hobby shops. When you have your units the player then goes about gluing the pieces of the miniatures together to make a somewhat unique unit. Once glued the player then paints the miniatures. 8. When your armies are ready to play you and a friend (who has an army also) setup you battleground. Next you roll a D6 (1 six side die) to see who deploys first. During deployment place a curtain in the middle so neither can see where the other deployed ( mainly so who ever deploys second cant see where the first deployed and deploy based on that). 9. Once your deployed who ever went first starts his first turn. There are three phases in a turn. Movement – During this phase the player uses a tape measure to move their units, most move only 6 inches. Shooting – In this phase you determine what units can shoot at any of the opponents units. Hitting and Damage are determined by rolling many D6.
