Background: Television is a window to the outside world for children. More than half of television viewers in India are children below 15 years. Studies suggest that exposure to violence on television influences child’s behavior especially aggressive behavior. Objectives: To assess the television viewing habit and violent behavior among school going children. To determine the association of television viewing habit and violent behavior with their selected demographic variables. To find out the correlation between television viewing habit and violent behavior. Material and Methods: A Non-experimental, Explorative and Descriptive study design was undertaken. Data was collected from 60 school going children selected by stratified random sampling and 60 parents of the same children. A structured questionnaire and rating scale was used for data collection. Results: Findings showed that majority (72%) of samples had moderately high television viewing habit. The overall mean score of violent behavior was (64.7±18.61) suggesting that the school going children had mild level of violent behavior. There was significant positive relationship between the television viewing habit and violent behavior (r=0.50).There was significant association between the television viewing habit and gender (χ2- 5.91, P<0.05) and leisure time (χ2- 4.34, P<0.05). There was highly significant association between violent behavior and gender (χ2- 11.09, P<0.05) and significant association between violent behavior and angry behavior among family member (χ2- 6.43, P<0.05) and leisure time (χ2-6.69, P<0.05).Conclusion: Study revealed that there is significant relationship between the television viewing habit and violent behavior among school children. Nurses could initiate and encourage discussions with the parents in this aspect and generate awareness among them.

This study investigated the relationship between television viewing habits and violent behavior among 60 school-going children aged 10-15 years in India. The key findings were:
1) Most (72%) children had moderately high television viewing habits. There was a significant positive correlation between more time spent watching TV and increased violent behavior.
2) On average, children displayed mild levels of violent behavior. Gang behavior scores were the highest, indicating it was the most common type of violence.

Out of all sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) cases calculated each year, 50% are contracted by young people ages 15-24 (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2017). This age group is particularly at risk for STDs because they tend to sexually active, and engage in more sexually-risky behaviors.
This research proposal examines the relationship between memorable messages received from mothers about sex prior to college and female college students’ perceived risks for STIs.
First, the review of literature will discuss research on mother-daughter communication surrounding sexual behavior. Second, the literature review will examine research on perceived risk for STDs. Following the literature review, the rationale will present an argument for the research question. Following the rationale, the research question will be stated.

Past research indicates that mothers have a significant influence on their daughter’s sexual behavior. Conversations about sex are marked by discomfort by both mothers and daughters, however, daughters see mothers as admirable role models (Dennis & Wood, 2012). Askelson, Campo, and Smith (2012) surveyed mothers of daughters age 9-15 years old, and recorded ten conversation topics total, covering: menstruation, sexual intercourse, romantic relationships, sexually-transmitted infections or diseases, contraception methods, and sexual orientation. In this study, subjects such as menstruation and alcohol (around 80% of mothers recorded discussing these) were discussed much more than others like contraceptives and condoms (both around 30%) (Askelson et al., 2012). With the objective of evaluating sexual behavior and perspective on sex education to a sample of 110 students belonging to a secondary school in the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela, a descriptive study was carried out with a longitudinal section, with a non - Field experiment. The students were given a survey with different ways of answering. The first part of the instrument measured aspects related to sexual behavior and the second, knowledge about sex education. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences (P< 0.05) for items: At what age did you first have sex? How many sexual partners have you had? Do you use any contraceptive method regularly? For the rest of the variables there was no significance. The main purpose of the present study was to determine the effect of regular home visits on the developmental indices of low birth weight infants. The present study was an on-site clinical investigation. 90 infants ranging between 1500 to 2500g born in Razi Hospital of Marand town having the entrance criteria to the present study were taken into consideration through the available sampling method and then they were divided into two intervention and control groups. The intervention group has received the whole routine cares since the first to fourth week and then they were visited at home for 45 minutes a week. The control group received the routine cares. The evolutionary indices of both groups were also completed monthly for three months by referring homes. The related data gathering tool was also subjected to the demographic information through registration list and the Persian version of the Low Weight Infant Inventory (LWII) (2 months) that have been completed by the researcher on the birthday, first, second and third months of the birth through the interview. SPSS-15 software and the application of the inferential and descriptive statistical tests (K2 and T-tests) were also applied in order to analyze the related data in this study. The significance level was considered as p<0.05.
More than half of these related research units of both groups had experience (61.5%) and control (55.8%) regarding all women in this study; the mean score of the low weight infants on the first month had not shown any statistical significant difference; but on the second months (p=0.04) and the third months (p=0.001), they had shown statistical significant difference progressively. The healthcare based on home-visit had influence on the recovery indices of the low weight infants. Hence, nurses and other health monitors of the infants should apply for the healthcare programs based on home-visit particularly in caring infants.The Psychology of Promiscuity

Research has found several factors that predict promiscuity, including certain personality traits and parental influences. Studies show extraversion and low levels of parental monitoring correlate with higher promiscuity in adolescents and young adults. Thalassemia is a chronic blood disorder requiring long-term treatment that affects patients' quality of life. The study aims to assess quality of life and coping strategies of parents, and determine associations with demographic variables. It found that parents had average quality of life and coping strategies. Age, occupation, and education were significantly associated with parents' quality of life and coping strategies, while gender was not. The study recommends further research with larger samples to generalize results.

Background: Television is a window to the outside world for children. More than half of television viewers in India are children below 15 years. Studies suggest that exposure to violence on television influences child’s behavior especially aggressive behavior. Objectives: To assess the television viewing habit and violent behavior among school going children. To determine the association of television viewing habit and violent behavior with their selected demographic variables. To find out the correlation between television viewing habit and violent behavior. Material and Methods: A Non-experimental, Explorative and Descriptive study design was undertaken. Data was collected from 60 school going children selected by stratified random sampling and 60 parents of the same children. A structured questionnaire and rating scale was used for data collection. Results: Findings showed that majority (72%) of samples had moderately high television viewing habit. The overall mean score of violent behavior was (64.7±18.61) suggesting that the school going children had mild level of violent behavior. There was significant positive relationship between the television viewing habit and violent behavior (r=0.50).There was significant association between the television viewing habit and gender (χ2- 5.91, P<0.05) and leisure time (χ2- 4.34, P<0.05). There was highly significant association between violent behavior and gender (χ2- 11.09, P<0.05) and significant association between violent behavior and angry behavior among family member (χ2- 6.43, P<0.05) and leisure time (χ2-6.69, P<0.05).Conclusion: Study revealed that there is significant relationship between the television viewing habit and violent behavior among school children. Nurses could initiate and encourage discussions with the parents in this aspect and generate awareness among them.

This study investigated the relationship between television viewing habits and violent behavior among 60 school-going children aged 10-15 years in India. The key findings were:
1) Most (72%) children had moderately high television viewing habits. There was a significant positive correlation between more time spent watching TV and increased violent behavior.
2) On average, children displayed mild levels of violent behavior. Gang behavior scores were the highest, indicating it was the most common type of violence.
3) Television viewing habits were significantly associated with gender and leisure time. Violent behavior was significantly associated with gender, family anger levels, and leisure time spent watching TV.

Out of all sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) cases calculated each year, 50% are contracted by young people ages 15-24 (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2017). This age group is particularly at risk for STDs because they tend to sexually active, and engage in more sexually-risky behaviors.
This research proposal examines the relationship between memorable messages received from mothers about sex prior to college and female college students’ perceived risks for STIs.
First, the review of literature will discuss research on mother-daughter communication surrounding sexual behavior. Second, the literature review will examine research on perceived risk for STDs. Following the literature review, the rationale will present an argument for the research question. Following the rationale, the research question will be stated.

With the objective of evaluating sexual behavior and perspective on sex education to a sample of 110 students belonging to a secondary school in the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela, a descriptive study was carried out with a longitudinal section, with a non - Field experiment. The students were given a survey with different ways of answering. The first part of the instrument measured aspects related to sexual behavior and the second, knowledge about sex education. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences (P< 0.05) for items: At what age did you first have sex? How many sexual partners have you had? Do you use any contraceptive method regularly? For the rest of the variables there was no significance. It is concluded that the sexual activity of the sample studied is not precocious, the product of good sexual orientation in the home.Power point; gendered families

The main purpose of the present study was to determine the effect of regular home visits on the developmental indices of low birth weight infants. The present study was an on-site clinical investigation. 90 infants ranging between 1500 to 2500g born in Razi Hospital of Marand town having the entrance criteria to the present study were taken into consideration through the available sampling method and then they were divided into two intervention and control groups. The intervention group has received the whole routine cares since the first to fourth week and then they were visited at home for 45 minutes a week. The control group received the routine cares. The evolutionary indices of both groups were also completed monthly for three months by referring homes. The related data gathering tool was also subjected to the demographic information through registration list and the Persian version of the Low Weight Infant Inventory (LWII) (2 months) that have been completed by the researcher on the birthday, first, second and third months of the birth through the interview. SPSS-15 software and the application of the inferential and descriptive statistical tests (K2 and T-tests) were also applied in order to analyze the related data in this study. The significance level was considered as p<0.05.
More than half of these related research units of both groups had experience (61.5%) and control (55.8%) regarding all women in this study; the mean score of the low weight infants on the first month had not shown any statistical significant difference; but on the second months (p=0.04) and the third months (p=0.001), they had shown statistical significant difference progressively. The healthcare based on home-visit had influence on the recovery indices of the low weight infants. Hence, nurses and other health monitors of the infants should apply for the healthcare programs based on home-visit particularly in caring infants.The Psychology of Promiscuity
Promiscuity is having more frequent or numerous sexual partners than is typical for a given culture. Research has found several factors that predict promiscuity, including certain personality traits and parental influences. Studies show extraversion and low levels of parental monitoring correlate with higher promiscuity in adolescents and young adults. Promiscuity in turn predicts who one befriends and career choices, as people tend to befriend others with similar sexual attitudes and promiscuous individuals may face social penalties. Understanding the causes and outcomes of promiscuity can help inform policies on sex education and relationships. Further research is needed across different cultures and age groups to better understand these relationships.

The WHO illustrative questionnaire for interview-questionnaire designed by John Cleland surveys with young people has been applied in this study. The statistical data has been completed by the help of SPSS software and descriptive and t-test statistical cases. The results showed the attitude score from the family adjustment is significantly higher than the determined degree positively. The results showed the sexual diseases are significantly higher than the fixed determined degree positively.
