Goals: Learn the fundamentals of visual design for a website page
Output: Second level webpage
Goals: Understand the connection between a homepage and a lower level webpage.
In this assignment, the About page will appear identical to the home page, except that the homepage photo will be replaced by the About header and the About text itself (the
same text from your Facebook page).
Output: Facebook page; Goals: Apply branding elements to social media
Social Media combines both elements of professionally authored design and content with input from members (this is called “co-creation”).

Goal: Learn to use wireframes to plan a website layout
Wireframes for planning the website.
Wireframes are rectangles you draw with your chosen software to plan the layout of a web page. They are not for showing the visual appearance, only the layout before you
create the visual design (in this case, you will create the visual design in part B of assignment five).

They are also useful to you as part of a capabilities package when looking for an internship or your first employment.
Each step notes suggested work with step names and sub-step names to include in your presentation.
Two decades after its birth, the web has through gone through the awkwardness of adolescence and reached adulthood. These days great websites aren’t just easy and intuitive to use, they also use human psychology to encourage specific behaviour. In this lively talk, Trent will distill learnings from more than 1,000 design research projects and help you to apply insights from social psychology, game theory and neuroscience to make your websites more compelling. You will learn:
* How to use human psychology to encourage user behaviour
* How even serious websites can be benefit from being more playful
* Inspiring local and overseas examples of seductive interfaces
This talk has to distinct parts, the first part is about this new design-lead Era at IBM, which is really about how to scale great design to large organizations.
We’re making a huge company-wide commitment and investment to turn IBM to a design lead organization, with design led products and projects.
In the second part of the talk, I’d talk about how my team, which has embraced lean UX methods, has managed to stay focus by adopting the new IBM design thinking framework, as well as some of the lessons of integrating a strong design competency with a lean team.
