The Evaluative Criteria
The process of analyzing a healthcare plan to see if it meets its goals takes some time. Because it promotes an evidence-based approach, assessment is crucial in practice consignment. Evaluation can be used to assess the effectiveness of the research. It helps determine what changes could be recommended to improve service delivery and the study's persuasiveness. An impact evaluation analyzes the intervention's direct and indirect, positive and negative, planned and unplanned consequences. If an evaluation fails to deliver fresh recognition regularly, it may result in inaccurate results and conclusions. A healthcare practitioner can utilize the indicators or variables to evaluate programs and determine whether they are legal or not (Dash et al., 2019). The variables are also used to assess if the mediation is on track to meet its objectives and obligations. Participation rates, prevalence, and individual behaviors are among the measures to be addressed.
Individual behaviors are actions taken by individuals to improve their health. People have been denied the assistance and resources they seek because of ethics and plans. In addition, different people have varied perspectives about pressure ulcers treatment. Relevance refers to how the study may contribute to a worthwhile cause (Li et al., 2019). Quality variables give statistics on the precariously rising service consignment while also attempting to provide information on the part of the care that may be changed. The participation rate refers to the total number of people participating in the study.
On the other hand, individuals may be unable to engage in the study due to a lack of cultural knowledge and ineffective consent processes. The overall number of persons in a population who have a health disease at a given time is referred to as prevalence (Li et al., 2019). Although prevalence shows the rate at which new facts arrive, it aids in determining the suitable, complete outcome-positive prestige of people.
Research Approaches
The word "research approaches" refers to techniques and procedures to draw general conclusions concerning data collection, analysis, and explanation methods. In my research, I'll employ both quantitative and qualitative methods. A qualitative research technique will reveal deterrents and hindrances to practicing change by rationalizing the reasons behind specific demeanors (Li et al., 2019). Qualitative research will collect and evaluate non-numerical data to comprehend perspectives or opinions. It will also be utilized to learn everything there is to know about a subject or to develop new research ideologies.

Programmatic purposes and outcomes
Select and discuss three programmatic purposes and outcomes that should be evaluated. In your discussion, provide the rationale for the purposes and outcomes selected. It will be assumed the purposes and outcomes selected were influenced by the program being evaluated.
The program that I will be discussing is human service programs. In the abiding endeavor to enhance human service programs, service providers, policy makers and funders are more and more recognizing the significance of thorough program evaluations. They want to know what the programs achieve, what they spend, and how they must be operated to attain maximum cost efficiency. They want to recognize which programs function for which groups, and they need endings based on proof, as opposed to impassioned pleas and testimonials. The purposes should state the extensive, extensive range result that maintains the mission of the program, including content information areas, performance prospects, and values anticipated of program graduates. Purposes can be stated in wider and more stirring language than outcomes that have to be measurable and specific. Outcome is the reason nonprofit organizations struggle to build capacity and deliver programs. Measurement of outcomes is the systematic way of assessing the extent to which a program has attained its intended results.
The programmatic purposes and outcomes that should be evaluated include:
Programmatic purposes

Summary of Skills
For the development of an organization to be successful and effectively achieve set goals and objectives, strong management and organization skills will be required (Bateman & Snell, 2007). Our Team A brings a broad spectrum of skills and talents coming from life, educational and work-related experiences. Each member of the team possesses unique skill sets that will bring fresh ideas, techniques and creative solutions to challenges in the development of our consulting firm.
A thorough evaluation of our team member’s skills, suggests that our key strengths lie within teamwork and dedication, creating presentations, critical thinking, problem-solving techniques, communication, research, and observations. With these skills, this team will be able to successfully achieve most tasks necessary in the development of a consulting firm. This team will need to use these skills to collaborate efforts in a cooperative manner to create, plan, develop and accomplish the goals of the consulting firm. This evaluation also portrays a strong dedication to learning and improving which is beneficial in the development of new skills that may be needed.
Most members of our team currently have educational and professional experience that proves an intense desire to improve and advocate change and educate communities to collaborate an effort enhancing the lives of individuals. This desire will effectively promote positive changes both within communities as well as at a societal level. The team’s overall commitment is to meet basic human needs through education, focusing on identification of challenges and prevention, as well as assist in overcoming personal and organizational obstacles that individuals may face. Our team is committed to improving the overall quality of life through advocacy and action.
The first type of consulting firm that we could possibly work with would be a human services/independent living consulting program. This program would collaborate with a client’s care givers, doctors and independent care organizations to assist in facilitating a client’s independence and improve or maintain health. This consulting firm would collaborate efforts to create an independent, long-term care plan that will enhance the develop of daily living skills, educate on services and programs available, exercise the right to make healthy living choices, and encourage pro-active involvement of all care-giving professionals in the pursuit of personal growth, presence, and participation in the long term care process. This program will improve and emphasis respect and dignity through the promotion of independence.
PLEASE ADD THE OTHER TWO TYPES HERE!
The types of problems these consulting firms might solve.
Inflexible regulatory and legal issues create competitive obstacles human services providers face when offering health services to communities.

Based on the needs assessment of the Carilion Clinic, they immediately began to work on investments such as new accessible health service buildings in different areas of the region and community. This was done by collaborating with a variety of organizations, such as the United Way of Roanoke Valley. For instance, New Horizons Dental Clinic was created based on the data presented by the community needs assessment demonstrating the great need for accessible dental care. Nancy Agee, President and CEO of Carilion Clinic states in the video that collaborating with many different organizations is critical in order to “look at the whole diversity of our region and strengthen relationships so we’re not replicating efforts, but rather we’re complementing and strengthening our efforts to improve health” (2015). I believe the needs assessment allowed them to specifically pinpoint what their community needed, and this allowed them to truly help the community directly. I would recommend the clinic to continue to utilize surveys and the needs assessment to focus on the community itself. This is because the alternative data sources available on a national and state level is not sufficient. The more Carilion Clinic interacts with the community directly, the more beneficial it will be for communities across the region, as well as themselves.
2
Needs assessment, program planning and evaluation are all integrated. For instance, as the book states “the evaluation of a program begins with its needs assessment. Data collected during a needs assessment can often serve as part of the baseline or “pretest” data needed for impact and outcome evaluations” (
Hodges & Videto, 2011, p.4). In other words, in order to for program planning to be successful, it is critical a needs assessment is done and followed by an evaluation of the needs assessment.
3
MAPP, as stated in the text, begins with the development of partnerships and identifying the participants for the needs assessment (Hodges & Videto, 2011, p.10). MAPP was used by Carilion Clinic though the use of their collaboration with other organizations, non-profits, health agencies, and the government. This strengthened the Carilion clinic’s goal as it provided more resources to accomplish the shared vision of improving the communities’ quality of life and delivery of care. APEXPH was used through its three parts throughout Carilion Clinic’s process. The first part, which as mentioned in the book is the self-assessment, was illustrated in the beginning of the video when Nancy, President and CEO, states the issues and goals at hand. The second part, the community process, is demonstrated with the community health needs assessment committee. This is the part where the program objective is derived from. The third part, concluding the cycle, is seen in the example of the New Horizon’s Dental Clinic, where Carilion’s decision based on the ne ...

Europeans initially settled along the Atlantic coast for economic reasons like fishing and fur trading. England gradually took control of land held by other European countries like France and Spain through military conflicts and agreements. The early English colonies were strongly influenced by religion as different religious groups fled persecution in Europe and established colonies with religious freedom and self-governance in mind, though these colonies were still subject to oversight and laws passed in English Parliament.

Position papers are a method to evaluate the most current evidence and policies related to health care issues. They offer a way for researchers to explore the views of any number of organizations around a topic. This can help you to develop your own position and approach to care around a topic or issue.
This assessment will focus on analyzing position papers about an issue related to addiction, chronicity, emotional and mental health, genetics and genomics, or immunity. Many of these topics are quickly evolving as technology advances, or as we attempt to push past stigmas. For example, technology advances and DNA sequencing provide comprehensive information to allow treatment to become more targeted and effective for the individual. However as a result, nurses must be able to understand and teach patients about the impact of this information. With this great power comes concerns that patient conditions are protected in an ethical and compassionate manner.

The IT manager of an 80-bed long-term care facility was tasked by the Board of Directors and CIO to create a 1-2 page report on private databases and doctor-patient privilege. The report aims to summarize the types of data stored in private health databases and whether it is protected by specific regulations or doctor-patient privilege. Private databases store confidential patient information like medical history and treatment plans. This data is regulated under laws like HIPAA which require security and privacy of sensitive medical information. Doctor-patient privilege legally protects confidential patient information and communications, though it has limits such as in response to court orders.

This document outlines a research plan to study Apple Airpod consumers and sales. The plan involves conducting ethnographic research through visits to Apple stores to observe customer interactions with Airpod displays and paths through the store. It also includes online research and surveying Airpod users about their purchase decisions and opinions of the product. The type of data to be collected is listed as answers from Airpod users, store traffic patterns, Airpod sales data, and purchased complementary products. A questionnaire for Airpod users and tools for tracking purchases and mapping customer traffic are presented as the means of data collection.

Acceptable topics include specific events like D-Day or social developments like flappers and fashion. The source material and all non-original content must be properly cited.
The document summarizes instructions for writing a summary of two assigned readings: Women’s Work and Chicano Families by Patricia Zavella, and Opting Out? by Pamela Stone. Zavella examines the roles of women and families in the Chicano community through interviews and ethnographic research. Stone explores why high-achieving women leave their careers through analyses of surveys and interviews. Students are asked to write a three paragraph summary that introduces the authors, topics, and central arguments of the readings. The second paragraph should provide an example from one of the author's analyses. The final paragraph should connect the readings to course topics and discussions.
The document provides instructions for a 1,000-1,200 word literary essay based on the memoir "Greetings From Bury Park" by Sarfraz Manzoor. Students must develop a thesis that answers either how the author uses America/Bruce Springsteen's music to show struggles OR what role the author's father plays in his struggles. The thesis must be supported using quotes from the memoir without outside research. Lenses from the "Lenses for Reading Literature" handout should also be applied. A sample thesis is given addressing how Springsteen/music show the author's desire for independence from his family and need to escape confines as a young Pakistani in Britain.

The Roman Catholic Church saw blasphemy as a threat to social order because it undermined religious authority and morality. The Inquisition prosecuted blasphemers to enforce religious orthodoxy. Indigenous people and those of mixed race often faced charges of blasphemy due to tensions with colonial rule. Prosecutions declined in the 1700s as the Church's power began to wane.
The document discusses how the "woman question" was an important issue in anti-colonial thought, using Egypt as a case study. It notes that women were often seen as a problem or issue for nationalism and asks what roles women played in anti-colonial struggles. It also questions whether feminism and anti-colonial nationalism were complementary or contradictory. It lists many relevant readings on these topics focused on historical cases in Egypt, India, and other regions that analyze the relationship between gender, nationalism, and colonial modernity.

This document discusses factors contributing to the failure of LGBT individuals to use health care services and potential nursing interventions to address this issue. It identifies biological, psychological, environmental, socio-cultural, behavioral, and health system factors that may prevent LGBT individuals from seeking care, such as higher health risks, stigma, lack of access or insurance, and provider cultural incompetence. It recommends population health nursing interventions like increasing access to services, providing cultural competency training for providers, advocating for inclusive policies, and reducing stigma in the health care system and community to promote more effective use of services by the LGBT population.

of Program Evaluation [Video file]. Baltimore, MD: Author. The Importance of Program
EvaluationProgram TranscriptFEMALE SPEAKER: In an ideal world, we're thinking about
evaluation from thevery beginning, when we're first crafting the policy, when we're first
implementingthe program. I can't begin to tell you how important that evaluation is to
helppeople to understand what the impact either has been of a policy that wasimplemented
or what the impact is likely to be to help inform policymakersthinking about whether or not
they should support a bill or not, whether or not apiece of legislation needs to be reshaped,
how a bill that's been enacted shouldbe implemented. The public has a right to know, what
are we getting for theseinvestments? It's important for people in Congress and in the
Executive Branch to know, whatimpact is this program having? Are we achieving the goals
that this policy wasdesigned to achieve, or are we off the mark? And if we're off the mark,
where arewe off the mark? And what needs to change to get this program back on track,
orto have an even greater impact on the health of different patient populations?
Soevaluation is critically important.FEMALE SPEAKER: If you can't measure it, you won't
know whether it waseffective or not. So there are two ways to measure it-- efficiency or
effectiveness.Assessing a Healthcare Program/Policy Evaluation.Mammograms, you were
able to fund a program that provided freemammograms for women. How many were there?
Did they have 550,000?That's one major indicator of efficiency, but it doesn't tell you
anything aboutwhether it did any good or not. Did they detect more, or less, or the same
numberof problems through the mammograms? That's the effective piece. So
it'simportant that you put that in at the beginning so you know how to evaluatewhether
the program worked or not. Because if it worked, you want to go backand repeat it. You
want to expand it. You want to get more funding for it.FEMALE SPEAKER: Evaluation

Healthcare Comparison Matrix and Narrative Statement Healthcare Program/Policy
Evaluation State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)Description SCHIP is a
federal and state structured program that addresses the health care needs of children in the
USA. It is designed to offer health insurance coverage to children whose families whose
earnings are higher than what can be covered by Medicaid and yet these earnings are not
enough to cover private coverage. Through the program, the federal government ensures
that these children enjoy insurance coverage and have access to health care.Assessing a
Healthcare Program/Policy Evaluation. Children’s eligibility for the program across the
different states, with the most common eligibility requirements being that recipients should
be children less than 19 years of age and who are uninsured, and whose families earn less
than $36,201 every year in a family of four members. Health care services covered by the
program include emergency room visits, hospitalizations, immunizations and doctor visits
(American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2019).How was the success of the
program or policy measured? The success of SCHIP is evaluated using four performance
measures. Firstly, the process measure evaluates the program activities and steps and
outputs generates, such as the average amount of financial help offered to each child and
family who benefit from the program. This measure looks at the implementation and
approach. Secondly, the outcome measure reviews the long-, intermediate and short-term
events offered as realistic and measurable outcomes. The long-term events include
improved health care access among the population of interest. The intermediate and short-
term events include individual child increased access to health care seen in terms of the
9. number of hospital visits and mortality rates. Thirdly, the baseline measure determines the
program’s position in relation to the problem of children’s health such as the percentage of
children who have access to health care or who are aware of the SCHIP as a direct benefit of
the program. The specific outcomes of interest in the program are health outcomes and
organizational change that creates a culture of health (Huff, Kline & Peterson, 2015;
Stanhope & Lancaster, 2014).How many people were reached by the program or policy
selected? How much of an impact was realized with the program or policy selected?Since it
was implemented as part of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, SCHIP has had a profound
effect on children’s health by increasing the number of those who are insured. The program
offers funding to state governments to reduce the number of uninsured children,
particularly children from low-income families who cannot pay for private coverage and are
not eligible for Medicaid. Since it was enacted, the insurance coverage among children has
increased from 85.1% to 95.2%, a 67.9% increase. The number of uninsured children
decreased from 10.7 million reported in 1997 when the program was first implemented to
4.4 million reported in 2014. These figures are accompanied by a 91% participation rate for
SCHIP eligible children. Overall, SCHIP has been effective in providing cost-effective and
high-quality health insurance coverage for children from low-income families (Shapiro,
2017).Assessing a Healthcare Program/Policy Evaluation. What data was used to conduct
the program or policy evaluation?SCHIP program evaluation is based on the uninsured rate
among children less than 19 years of age and who are eligible for the program. The data
analysis reported that the uninsured rate has been progressively reducing because of SCHIP
program intervention. The rate reduced from 14% in 1997, to 10% in 2003, 8% in 2010, 6%
in 2014, and 5% in 2016. The progressive reduction in the insured rate among children is
an attestation to the program achieving its primary objective (Artiga & Urbi, 2017).What
specific information on unintended consequences were identified? The program does not
identify unintended consequences. It focuses on ensuring that the financial investment from
the government can be translated into higher insurance figures among the targeted
population. What stakeholders were identified in the evaluation of the program or policy?
Who would benefit most from the results and reporting of the program or policy
evaluation? Be specific and provide examples.Four groups were identified in the evaluation.
The first group is children and their families who directly benefit from the program through
increased insurance coverage that allows the previously uninsured children to have access
to healthcare.Assessing a Healthcare Program/Policy Evaluation. The evaluation results
benefit them by helping them to meet their ethical responsibility towards their own health
even as they control costs. Besides that, it helps them in lowering healthcare costs. The
second group is the insurance industry that is affected through a reduction in the market
size so that they are forced to reduce premiums and place less strict coverage requirements
to gain a larger market share. The evaluation results benefit them by identifying the market
share available to them. The third group is medical personnel who have a responsibility in
providing adequate healthcare while controlling costs. The evaluation results help them in
readjusting their roles to target the remaining insured children even as they influence
policy development to address the existing insurance gaps. The fourth group is the
government that determines healthcare policy. The report is useful in justifying budget
10. allocations and continued support for the program (Milstead & Short, 2019).Did the
program or policy meet the original intent and objectives? Why or why not?SCHIP is
meeting its original intent to increase the insurance rate among children who are not
eligible for Medicaid and whose families cannot pay for private insurance. Since it was first
implemented in 1997, the program has been progressively increasing the insurance rate
among children. The insurance rate has increased from 86% in 1997, to 90% in 2003, 92%
in 2010, 94% in 2014, and 95% in 2016. The implication is that more children have access
to healthcare (Artiga & Urbi, 2017).Assessing a Healthcare Program/Policy
Evaluation.Would you recommend implementing this program or policy in your place of
work? Why or why not?Other governments should implement the program. Uninsured
children who do not have access to private insurance will be without health care unless
such a program is implemented that allocates public funds towards addressing their needs.
To be more precise, the program increases children’s health insurance coverage, thereby
effectively increasing their access to care, improving their health status, and reducing the
financial pressure on parents, providers, and governments from ill-health among children.
As a result, other governments with substantial numbers of uninsured children should
implement the program (Artiga & Urbi, 2017).Identify at least two ways that you, as a nurse
advocate, could become involved in evaluating a program or policy after one year of
implementation.A nurse advocate can be involved in evaluating a program or policy in two
ways. Firstly, the nurse advocate can be involved through engaging other interested parties
in a conversation to collect their qualitative opinions on the program performance. This can
help in identifying the needs that were overlooked when the program was first
implemented. Secondly, the nurse advocate can be involved through informatics, whereby
the nurse would collect performance information in terms of changing rates to determine
whether the program is affecting the primary population as desired (Black, 2016).General
Notes/Comments There is a need to increase SCHIP funding. The program is shown as
effective in increasing insurance coverage among the population of interest. However,
approximately 5% of the population of interest does not have insurance coverage.
Increasing funding would ensure that more persons are insured so that the program
objective is achieved.Assessing a Healthcare Program/Policy Evaluation.Healthcare

Program/Policy Evaluation State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)Description
SCHIP is a federal and state structured program that address the health care needs of
children in the USA. It is designed to offer health insurance coverage to children whose
families whose earnings are higher than what can be covered by Medicaid and yet these
earnings are not enough to cover private coverage. Through the program, the federal
government ensures that these children enjoy insurance coverage and have access to health
care. Children’s eligibility for the program across the different states, with the most
common eligibility requirements being that recipients should be children less than 19 years
of age and who are uninsured, and whose families earn less than $36,201 every year in a
family of four members.Assessing a Healthcare Program/Policy Evaluation. Health care
services covered by the program include emergency room visits, hospitalizations,
11. immunizations and doctor visits (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association,
2019).How was the success of the program or policy measured? The success of SCHIP is
evaluated using four performance measures. Firstly, the process measure evaluates the
program activities and steps and outputs generates, such as the average amount of financial
help offered to each child and family who benefit from the program. This measure looks at
the implementation and approach. Secondly, the outcome measure reviews the long-,
intermediate and short-term events offered as realistic and measurable outcomes. The long-
term events include improved health care access among the population of interest.
Assessing a Healthcare Program/Policy Evaluation.The intermediate and short-term events
include individual child increased access to health care seen in terms of the number of
hospital visits and mortality rates. Thirdly, the baseline measure determines the program’s
position in relation to the problem of children’s health such as the percentage of children
who have access to health care or who are aware of the SCHIP as a direct benefit of the
program. The specific outcomes of interest to the program are health outcomes and
organizational change that creates a culture of health (Huff, Kline & Peterson, 2015;
Stanhope & Lancaster, 2014).How many people were reached by the program or policy
selected? How much of an impact was realized with the program or policy selected?Since it
was implemented as part of Balanced Budget Act of 1997, SCHIP has had a profound effect
on children’s health through increasing the number of those who are insured. The program
offers funding to state governments to reduce the number of uninsured children,
particularly children from low income families who cannot pay for private coverage and are
not eligible for Medicaid. Since it was enacted, the insurance coverage among children has
increased from 85.1% to 95.2%, a 67.9% increase.Assessing a Healthcare Program/Policy
Evaluation. The number of uninsured children decreased from 10.7 million reported in
1997 when the program was first implemented to 4.4 million reported in 2014. These
figures are accompanied by a 91% participation rate for SCHIP eligible children. Overall,
SCHIP has been effective in providing cost-effective and high-quality health insurance
coverage for children from low income families (Shapiro, 2017).What data was used to
conduct the program or policy evaluation?SCHIP program evaluation is based on uninsured
rate among children less than 19 years of age and who are eligible for the program. The data
analysis reported that uninsured rate has been progressively reducing as a result of SCHIP
program intervention. The rate reduced from 14% in 1997, to 10% in 2003, 8% in 2010, 6%
in 2014 and 5% in 2016. The progressive reduction in insured rate among children is an
attestation to the program achieving its primary objective (Artiga & Urbi, 2017).What

population. What stakeholders were identified in the evaluation of the program or policy?
