  • 7. Baudrillard: Simulacra/Simulation – futuristic world of time travelling machines and ancient world of assassins.
  • 8. Assassins Creed creates confusions over time and space by using time travel in someone's mind using a machine, this is also done in FIFA 11 with the classic team where old players play with new ones. It mixes old and new. The bulk of the game is set around 1500 but is in reality set in the modern day. The game is set in a period in which high art was at its peak, including Da Vinci as a character, whereas it is also a modern action game including modern popular culture in the storyline

  • 10. Being able to play this game online creates a hyper reality such as the one in Second Life. You play with people from other places and assassinate people. There is the question of which is the reality if you play it that much. Assassins Creed is almost like post modern music. In the way that samples are used in DJ Shadow’s music, ‘samples’ of people are used to create something new.
