The ASPIRE scheme was launched by the Government of India to promote innovation, rural industries, and entrepreneurship. The objectives of the scheme are to create new jobs, promote entrepreneurship, and facilitate grassroots economic development at the district level. The scheme provides 100% grants up to Rs. 100 lakhs for setting up 80 business incubators to support livelihood businesses. It also provides 50% grants up to Rs. 50 lakhs for incubators set up through public-private partnerships. Technical and research institutes can implement incubation programs under the scheme. Applications are accepted by the ASPIRE Scheme Steering Committee chaired by the Secretary of the Ministry of MSME.
