The National Council on Patient Information and Education created the "Talk Before You Take" campaign with the FDA to encourage better communication between patients and healthcare providers about medications. The campaign provides 10 key questions patients should ask their doctor or pharmacist about any new prescription to help ensure safe and effective use.
