Chinese Painting one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world.  Earliest paintings were ornamental, not representational they consisted of pattern or designs, not pictures.
Kinds of Chinese Painting Meticulous (Gong bi) often referred to as "court-style" painting  Freehand style (Shui mo) loosely termed watercolour or brush painting. The Chinese character "mo" means ink and "shui" means water. This style is also referred to as "xie yi" or freehand style.

Chinese sculpture Chinese sculptors have sculpted delicate objects figures,  animals,  plants and  Landscape The materials used sand and coal,  bronze and jade .  Many of the works have become precious artistic pearls in the treasure house of Chinese art.

Indian painting The earliest Indian paintings were the rock paintings of pre-historic times, the petroglyphs as found in places like Bhimbetka, and some of them are older than 5500 BC..

Japanese painting The origins of painting in Japan date well back into Japan's prehistoric period. Simple stick figures and geometric designs can be found on Jōmon period pottery and Yayoi period(300 BC – 300 AD)  dotaku  bronze bells. Mural paintings with both geometric and figurative designs have been found in numerous tumulus from the Kofun period (300-700 AD).

Sculpture started from the clay figure. Japanese sculpture received the influence of the Sil Road culture in the 5th century, and received a strong influence from Chines sculpture afterwards. The influence of the Western world was received since the Meiji era.
