Mark Philips discusses the future of transport. He sees opportunities for more efficient vehicles in the next decade, many of which may be smaller than today's cars. Luxury brands may migrate to smaller platforms. Advancing fuel and power technologies will allow luxury cars to still offer the same travel experience but in a more environmentally friendly way. Traffic control systems like congestion charging will likely increase with an aging population and the need to manage traffic in crowded cities. Smart mobility through vehicle tracking and intelligent highways may converge to deliver the first phase of a global smart transport system in the next decade.

The world has changed: Product supply and demand is globalized and there is no putting the genie back in the bottle. The flow of goods from Asia to the west has created an economic dependency over the past ten years that will be exploited over the next ten. As China and India and other fast-developing economies become the primary global marketplaces, the needs and wishes of the 4bn new consumers will dominate those of the 800m old ones in the US and Europe. The days where the US set the pace in the consumer mindset are over and this is not going to change.

Evaluation protocols for building-related energy efficiency measures (EED art.7)Leonardo ENERGY
The high potential of Energy Efficiency Obligation (EEO) schemes under article 7 of the Energy Efficiency Directive (called “Energy Savings Obligation” in the Commission’s Clean Energy Package) in the achievement of energy efficiency targets is widely recognised.
However, in the current form EEOs do not get the most out of this potential. In addition, the scope of application of EEOs should be widened to include measures in all energy using sectors and to include some of the potentially more complex energy saving measures that offer significant savings potentials.
ECI advocates the idea of establishing a toolbox of technical energy saving measures for EU Member States, including simplified measurement & verification protocols that offer a reasonable degree of certainty and comparability of the target achievements of the MS. This report by Ecofys analyses which building-related measures are the most relevant in terms of energy savings and could provide best practices and a potential template for future measures.
As selecting energy efficiency measures to be on the standard list is, ultimately, the decision of the individual member states, this report aims at providing insight into why member states and obliged parties would benefit by promoting selected measures as a standard measure.
On 22 June 2021, Prof Hidetoshi Nishimura, President of Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia, jointly with Mr Hiroshi Kajiyama, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, attended the 1st Asia CCUS Network Forum and announced the launch of ‘the Asia CCUS Network’, which is an international industry–academia–government platform aimed at knowledge sharing and improvement of the business environment for utilisation of carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) throughout the Asia region. Thirteen East Asia Summit (EAS) member countries and more than 100 companies, research institutions, and international organisations have so far expressed their intention to participate in the network.

slEconomics., Electricity sector tariff reforms in Thailand. Stephen Labson 2014Stephen Labson
Under AEC liberalization, Thailand's energy sector is expected to undergo reforms including third party access to transmission and distribution networks and competition in retail segments. This will require unbundling of tariffs within the electricity supply chain.
The document analyzes tariff setting mechanisms for key parts of Thailand's electricity supply industry under AEC, including EGAT generation, EGAT transmission, MEA/PEA distribution, MEA/PEA retail supply, and EGAT single buyer. It recommends a cost of service approach for each, with a hybrid incentive-based regulation/return on assets model for generation, transmission and distribution, and a cost pass-through model for the single buyer and retail supply. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.
These topics will be covered
- Reducing license cost by finding and fixing misconfigurations and superfluous accounts
- How do CCB and CCX licenses really work?
- Understanding the DLAU tool and how to best utilize it
- Tips for common problem areas, like team mailboxes, functional/test users, etc
- Practical examples and best practices to implement right away

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

3) mutual respect and respect for bilateral and
regional cooperation, and
4) step-by-step approach with long-term
perspectives
9. Situation
Some ASEAN Member Countries have planned their
OSRM concrete target. However, others are still on
the initiation phase.
+3 Member Countries, specifically Japan and Korea,
have already in place an OSP system for long time
10. Resume
A common understanding on the needs and benefit
of Oil Stockpiling Roadmap development
Due to differences in economic levels, it is not
possible to make an Oil Stockpiling Roadmap with a
concrete targets for all ASEAN+3 Member Countries
at this moment as desired
But, it’s expected that by 2020 every country
